Beamer is canned at SC?
He should have been Ray Ray's first call when Muschamp was fired. Supposedly, Ray never even talked to him. It was Beamer and Napier, and Napier wanted too much.
We have to have the worst AD in the conference.

Yeah liberty fans seem pretty miserable…..
It’s more than a little different situation. I expected them to have a couple of losses, but Liberty is also in a lousy G5 conference and has more money and talent than everyone else they play combined.
It’s highly unlikely that a transition to his offense at a mid-level SEC program is going to go that smoothly.

Petrino went 5-7 (2-6) year 1.

And year two? Do you really think your fanbase would be as patient with a coach as State’s?
I know Arkansas is the better program, but State may offer more of a chance to do something different with a guarantee of a certain number of years to get it going. That’s all I’m saying.

Think his wife would choose Fayetteville over Starkvegas.
That's a thing.
Chadwell was the coach at North Greenville. He left there to take over Delta State. He stayed in MS for one year.
Granted, he moved back to SC for an FCS job (Charleston Southern), but word was that the move was hastened in part because his wife was very unhappy in Cleveland, MS.
Now, Cleveland, MS, at well under $100K isn't the same thing as Starkville for $5-6 million.
I've never actually been to either place, but Fayetteville seems to be more attractive than Starkville.

As for the negative with Chadwell, it wasn't really him. The entire AD at Charleston Southern got rung up on certifying ineligible players or something to that effect.

I have been saying he is my number for a while now. Which means we likely won't get him.

Money doesn’t mean shite when the G5 is effectively being relegated to the Pop Tarts bowl for the future

That offering plate money goes a long way.

Jamey is an Appalachia guy to his core. There’s exactly 3 P5 jobs he wants at this time. Tennessee, West Virginia, and Virginia Tech. Tennessee ain’t happening unless Heupel goes to the NFL. Virginia Tech is my best guess, but I can see him in Morgantown. Ray Tanner has ensured that South Carolina will never be considered.

Would love for him to land at Arkansas but we always manage to outsmart ourselves on our searches so we’ll for sure skip him to hire Jay Norvell instead.

He's making $4 million a year at Liberty.
I don't pretend to know his motivations, but why leave that for anything less than an ideal situation?
There are some good ones for him, and Texas A&M isn't one because of location. I think he prefer to be on the east coast somewhere else when a Power of 5 opens up.

He’d fit well at South Carolina, Mississippi State, or Arkansas. Unique offense, so it would be a difficult prep for teams.

I have a very good customer in Cleveland and have to go down there often. There is NO COMPARISON between that little Delta town and Starkville. The later may not be a prize, but Cleveland is just not a very nice town, in spite of some recent improvements. There’s just not very much there, especially for a college town, and the MS Delta is just flat farmland as far as you can see at least 30 mins in any direction.
If he’s partial to the mountains, he might like Fayetteville.

Out of those three, it would be Arkansas. The ship has sailed at South Carolina unless Ray Tanner is shown the door. He would just as soon stay at Liberty as go to Starkville unless he gets a serious increase in salary.

- Lots of outreach to evangelical America.
- Liberty has a huge online program and overcharges people but gets around it by funneling the money into their endowment.

Fayetteville>Starkville but Starkville is Beverly Hills compared to most of Mississippi. It's kind of small but I see the appeal of it.

Chadwell is my #1 but because of a hillbilly millionaire we will have to go thru the Gus song and dance first and end up with
Herman or Traylor which is fine its better than what we've had the past 11-12 years.

I want chadwell at Arkansas.

Tom Herman would be a great hire. Texas didn’t give him enough time and Gus would be a good consistent coach as well.
I know everyone is looking for that next big star but man if you can get someone who will have you the discussion most years that’s pretty damn good
