Ole Miss will feel betrayed if he does decide to go to LSU

Yeah ole miss should let him finish it out.

Kiffin could name his oc and dc and let them and Wilson (and possibly O) handle recruiting while he is focused on playoffs.

The problem being, we shouldnt let him do that.

LSU HC position vacancy means recruiting is stagnant. We have to get him in.

LSU has told him he can finish the season if Ole Miss allows it. Currently Ole Miss is not going to let him

Yes. Texas losing last night has pushed everything back. By all accounts everyone agreed that the Egg Bowl would have been his last as an Ole Miss head coach. But if Alabama loses tonight and Ole Miss goes to the SEC Championship game they are going to let him coach that game too and logistics need to be figured out. IMO.

Curious why you’d think that? One is finishing a season another is the rest of your career. A career comes first everytime

You litteraly just proved my point lol.

Now you're starting to sound like your arch nemesis Matt Moscona.

I agree though. I'm not sure why he wouldn't want to coach his team through the playoffs. I just don't think it's a good idea for LSU to wait on him. Also, if he's leaving, why would Ole Miss let him coach in the playoffs.

This is why I've maintained that I don't see him coming here. Hopefully, I'm wrong.

That’s what GameDay was for. Now it has to matriculate a little.

How? I’m honestly just curious on why that’s hurt lsu unless you mean it’s hurt lsu by him not coming immediately. Which I’d agree with

Can we all agree to that? Why else drag this out?

No we will not be able to agree on that. It's the only thing that makes any sense.

That's exactly what he's doing and we just have to many people that would rather bitch and cry about every little nugget not being 100% accurate.

1. Break contract with Ole Miss
2. Sign new contract with LSU with the stipulation that he can finish the season with Ole Miss
3. Get Coach O and Frank on the recruiting trail
4. Everyone is happy (except Ole Miss, but f them)

Didn’t you have an email that said he had cold feet and was staying.
no, the email implied he hadn't fully made up his mind...he was Ole Miss one day, LSU the next...

The more it lingers, the more the chances that Lane changes his mind - even going to the NFL. That's why a decison needs to be made today.

I don't mind waiting until after LSU's game today (something tells me we will need some positive news at that time) and even after the Iron Bowl, but this can't go into Monday.

If it does, LSU needs to come out and say "Lane will be here, but after the Ole Miss season" or "We have a plan B and we will announce that person tomorrow as the new LSU head coach".

If we don't make some type of statement by Monday, we will lose some high school recruits and Portal wannabee's will look elsewhere.
