Interesting Vegas didn’t have Riley on the list to bet on for the next LSU Coach

You think it was a coincidence or Vegas actually knew all along?

This makes no sense. So why not put him on there to take a lot of peoples money?

Being that close to Cali, I figured they knew.

well if they knew for a fact what Riley was doing, wouldn't it have been in their best interest to list him and have people bet on him?

one would argue they absolutely didn't know then.

But wouldn’t it benefit their money making by adding a coach that they know wasn’t coming?

It's not wise to bet against professional gamblers.
Vegas books have analytical tools and people on the ground doing legwork. If they never had Riley listed, it's because he was never seriously in the mix.

Did they have him on the list to be USC's next coach? Jesus.

It’s called “the field”. They won’t post every coach, just the ones they think people will bet on…..the field is to cover their asses so they don’t get hit by the insiders placing bets.

The only people discussing it were Tiger fans here on this site. It got out, but it was pure fan fantasy.

So your take is these Vegas insiders knew he was not a serious candidate and therefore chose not to accept anyone’s losing bet on Riley’s name?
Interesting perspective that Vegas actually wanted to help betters get it right.
Keep your day job.

These threads are so annoying. Vegas can’t take action on head coaching hires. Until recently they couldn’t even take action on awards, like the Heisman, MVP, etc.
The only places taking action on hires are offshore books.

Outside of TD, what betters would that be?
ETA - I mean, where are the betting lines for Nick Saban, Jimbo Fisher, etc...?

Because outside of LSU and OU message boards, no one was talking about it...because it was never a real possibility.

There are no coincidences in Vegas lines. How many times have you seen it posted on here that a bet is a sure thing, only to end up being a loser.

Thought Vegas doesn’t do college coaching change? You mean illegal online site betonline ?
