I’m so pumped that “good ole boy” culture is being torn down

Trust In Kelly. Get on board. This is a new era of LSU football.

It’s too early to say that at all. There’s rumors that he may be looking to hire Mike Denbrock an old retread friend who Cincy fans can’t wait to be gone as OC lol. That would be the definition of a good ole boy hire.

Agreed. Rantards wanted a plug n play coach who would've continued the toxic culture.
We need a culture rebuild from the Miles years.
ETA: Myles to Miles

no, there is a reason for that and it has been discussed with film review. search and find it and educate yourself

Madden football mentality, as if you just plug n play and championships flow
Them pesky human things, taken for granted, that come with leadership like having a vision, instilling values, inspiring, building trust, setting expectations, doing the right thing all the time, no short cuts, delivery in deed not words, organization skills...as if these are unimportant and just happen. Think again!
New sheriff in town.

This is the template that Emmert and Saban used to resurrect the program 20 years ago. This blueprint works but we keep discarding it every few years. I hope Woodward ends up being a lifer AD. He knows what LSU needs to be championship caliber long term.

And he appears to have set this in motion in every sport he’s made a hire in so far.

You’re 100% correct, but expect a lot of pushback on here. People are actually citing his offense at Cincy even though the competition is weaker and the defense is stout, both of which work to inflate offensive output.

Did Myles Brennan make it that toxic here?

The culture Miles created and Orgeron built upon was absolutely toxic and had to go. We needed a hard reset.

So Cincy Fan Want a OC Who offense is #7 in the country in points & 35th in yards and leading them to the playoffs as a Non P5 School? They are more Delusional than some of the people on this site

My brother in-law is a cincy fan, and alum. I run in his circle of friends, prob 8-10 in total diehard, season ticket holder cincy fans.
None of them want Denbrock fired.
Where are you hearing this?

Don't know about Cincy fans wanting him out but he's definitely overrated. His numbers are inflated from his defense and he also runs a stale arse scheme that honestly doesn't fit LSU right now. I think it makes sense for the style of offense BK runs and since he's familiar with him, they can merge philosophy.
It's exactly what we feared though if they hire Denbrock - BK is not willing to open his scheme up and this will be a reoccurring problem his tenure at LSU. This is the one area he absolutely needed to not be stubborn about. If you guys think Jimbo runs a shitty offensive philosophy then you'll hate Denbrocks scheme. We don't have 3 TEs to run the scheme like they'd want.

You people are ridiculous. The reason he would hire him is the good ole boy tradition. Stop trying to make excuses and call a spade a spade.
That being said, he hasn’t hired him and still can make a home run hire

It is the right thing, but it's always going to involve risk.
What I mean by that is that you have to give the new regime time.
Example being Taggart at FSU. Did he suddenly become a bad coach there? He had a shitshow to wade through after Jimbo left. Cultural change can be so rough as to make the program dip before it rises again. That's all I'm saying.

AGAIN, for like the FIFTH time. Brian Kelly has won over 250 games. He didn't get that way by hiring a flash-in-the-pan, hot shot big name coordinator and turn his program over to him.
He's going to hire someone who is similar philosophically and, more importantly, somebody he TRUSTS.
A home run hire to a bunch of message board morons means nothing to a professional coach who is building a championship program.
