I’ll give you Matt Ruhle for some good authentic Louisiana gumbo, Mardi Gras beads, and an LSU baseball team autographed bat next time y’all are in Omaha.

I say give it to Baker on a 4 year deal and see what he can do. We have pushed our chips to the middle of table for Lane. It was always gonna be a tough situation if our deal with him fell through at the 11th hour. Same applies to Ole Miss because they probably miss out on their top replacement options if Lane leaves them on Saturday/Sunday night

I’d go after a Doug Pederson over most of the guys showing up on these lists. It’s like coaching a bunch of pros nowadays anyway

Make Heupel say no. He’s making $9M a year. Give him enough of a raise to make it worth his while. That’s really the only sensible option if Lane falls through.

When we hired Kelly, it should have been a solid hire. When Denbrock left, the writing was on the wall. When Kelly brought High School Joe Sloan back for a second year, we were knee deep it it. And when it was obvious that Sloan needed to go and he wouldn’t get rid of him, it was over.

A decent OC the last two years may have avoided some of this. But ol Kelly decided to pull a Dinardo and go down with his guy.

We’re way beyond real trouble.

By Sunday night we don’t have a coach we will most likely be shopping in the coordinator aisle. Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame all promoted their star coordinator and it worked out. I’m sure we’ll interview other coordinators besides Blake but he deserves a fair shot at the job.

I would think they would have made him interim if he was an actual contender.

YEs...I can't believe they didn't just post their list online like all the other schools did.

LOL. Harbaugh has a show cause order suspending him from his next season of college football.

OK, apparently some remedial education is in order here:

The news about Harbaugh getting the penalty you describe dates to August 2025.

Jim Harbaugh was announced as the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers in January 2024.

Now let’s all pause for approximately 6 to 8 minutes and see if you can figure out what that means.

As noted yesterday, let’s not accept the recommendation of someone who can’t spell his own candidate’s name.

That is what would be “sensible.”

I do think Heupel is a good coach…but would he leave what he’s built at Tennessee and is he a fit here?
