Bryant hand picked Ray Perkins and the bama fans thought a coach from the giants who played for bear would continue to dominate, he went 32 - 15 - 1 from 83 through 86 and bailed out, going to be a great amount of pressure on the next guy....

I was talking to a friend I played high school ball with about that today, we had a coach that was gifted at getting the best players in the position they should be playing, we may need to look at some of the wide receivers and see if we have a cornerback or two....

Boomers will cry Bryant but it isn't even close. Saban has done more in an era where it's much more difficult to win.
I am a boomer and won't cry but I am old enough to have followed both coaches and I would say it is very close....

Yes, born in Eunice at Eight and Laurel did Elementary at St. Edmond’s while living on 2 nd finished at Eunice Hi class 1947 and entered LSU. After 21 years Korea and Vietnam retired from Marine Corps.
