Even if the rumors are true... it won't make a difference if he hurts 0's feelings and makes him feel inadequate. Then his offense will be neutered, a propaganda campaign will be waged against him, and he'll be canned as a scapegoat after one year.

JT Curtis said yesterday O earned the right to fire Canada and promote Ensminger based on his wins. I disagree, based on his wins and failure to hire an OC that he doesn't trust and can't work with, he should have to be told no, offer another choices.

As for your point in the OP... It would seem that O is just going to have to put his ego aside and let an OC do his job. Miles had full control over his program. Alleva and the brass couldn't influence him, so they had to fire him when he refused to change. O, on the other hand, is damn lucky to be the HC and he knows it. So he's going to have to have a top-tier OC that isn't just a "yes-man" (like he originally promised) or he's gonna have to get steppin. Alleva isn't wanting to lose his job because of Orgeron, so he's taking matters into his own hands. It's what we've become, and it is what it is for better or for worse.

Man, I so want to believe this. Alleva should know that all of the dynamics you describe are true. O can't ever assume he has full control of this team (he's paid NOT to coach for crying out loud). Alleva also is smart enough to know that O's bone-headedness could take him down.

That being said - if Briles covered up rapes at Baylor, I'm not for him. There are other elite OCs we could go after if we're dead-set on firing Canada. Hey, maybe we can convince Brian Daboll (Alabama's OC) that life would be better at LSU. At least he wouldn't have a maniac embarrassing him on national TV with his team up 18 in the 4th Q against the no. 1 team in the country.

I dont see that being a good fit

He runs at an unreal rapid pace on offense. Usually defensive minded guys dont like that because their D never gets any rest.

If Alleva is making strong suggestions I wonder why he is entertaining buying out Canada.... There are so many back stories (rumors) that goes on with our program you need a court reporter to document everything to keep it all straight.

Alleva also deserves some credit for getting LSU to take action to sweeten the pot for Aranda to beat a7m back off our door step. I don't like the guy but he's doing some things right at this time, it would seem.
Geaux Sneaux! (Snow Peas)

I'll believe it when the ink signature of one Kendall Briles has dried on the paper of his LSU contract.............

it means if you look at all the defenses that were under Briles' style of offense, they gave up a lot of points.

Florida Atlantic's scoring defense was ranked 123 in 2016. A year later with Briles as OC, their scoring defense is ranked 34th in the nation.

Seems to be the opposite of what I think you are claiming.

Based on everything I've read Art Briles knew about a lot of stuff and never did anything about it. I've never seen anything implicating Kendall in anything other than some minor recruiting violations (talking to recruits during quiet period).

Question for the rest of this board. I know Tigerbaitlawyer is highly regarded on here as a legit source. What about TigerAxeOK? Not trying to stir anything. Serious question as I don’t know, and this below makes no sense...

Allegedly O is ready, right now, to give the job to Ensminger (who apparently still isn't interested in full-time OC duties).

So if he has his way, Orgeron will force Ensminger to assume full-time OC duties against his will???

Jesus!!! Think about this shite a little people before y’all chime in in such full agreement. This seems laughable to me.

Alleva also deserves some credit

this whole "hire elite coordinators" experiment was his idea. i hope he was on his knees begging aranda to stay...and he better overrule an ensminger hire.

Our insiders are hinting that O isn't calling the shots on this one. Allegedly O is ready, right now, to give the job to Ensminger (who apparently still isn't interested in full-time OC duties). Alleva is making the strong suggestion and the push to go after our main target (presumably KB) because he's having to overrule O's desire to deviate from the promises he made when he took the HC job.

This doesn't make sense. This is Alleva's mess to begin with. If he's fixing his mess, he doesn't get credit for it. Presumably, it would be very obvious that the guy he hired isn't seeing things the way he should.

I'm fairly certain that this isn't what's going on.

Or maybe Briles needs to interview O more closely and know if he is able to work for a guy like that?

in short - Maybe O is the problem...?

I wouldn't want Briles, because he's gone next season to take over at FAU, when Lane leaves.

I would put this at 100% it happens.

Not surprised if this is true. This is what this clown show has become.
