LSU should’ve hired Freeze when they had the chance.

reeze has brought more attention and legitimacy to their football program then any other time. They will do nothing except hope they can keep him there at least another season.

And get PAID when someone buys out his contract. Smart move. Will give them cash for the program.

Freeze probably does not have a buyout if he leaves, and if so its going to be minimal.

Cohen is the obvious hurdle here.

Of course he wants the job. And His agent has been pumping his name all year.

Freeze ought to go out to Tempe. They would give him a blank check out there
If he would win out there, generational wealth. That is what I am hearing from some ASU alums

Nah. Liberty knows the deal. That's why both worked out the new contract and buyout. A big school is going to pay it...freeze liberty and big time program school all know it

His daughter Jordan went to Auburn then transferred to Liberty when he was hired there to finish her degree, but she lives in Auburn now with her new husband, she got married this past spring.

Hugh Freeze would crawl to Auburn right now, just not sure that is the direction Auburn wants to go

Any future grand-babies on the way for Freeze? That could be the tipping point for him. Close to the grand babies.

He’s such a cheese scumbag. Perfect for the Auburn chaos.

I guess I just don't see why you would hire Cohen if you wanted Freeze. I can't imagine Freeze likes him much.

I'm fairly confident that Cohen turned Freeze in to the NCAA. Freeze agreeing to work for Cohen and Cohen agreeing to have Freeze under him would be a real awkward meeting to talk through.

same thing i was thinking....

he essentially said he's interested and then semi-politicked for the job

Yellow Wood acting as a mediator for those two would be a sight to see

I’m ok with him getting another shot and AU is morally flexible enough to make it happen.

But if he still has ANY shade… the boosters will find out and expose him if he doesn’t follow their orders.

If Liberty thinks they are a destination coaching job, they are just being delusional. I feel certain they are fully aware a coach like Freeze is there for a short while onlyt.

Auburn is like no place you've ever been, so be careful for what you wish.

IMO, this basically confirms his interest without flat out saying it.

Also likely confirms he is not the top candidate. Someone on the verge of being hired rarely publicly lobbies for the job.
