Why?

He failed at Purdue!

Have you seen Purdue before or after him?

I'm warming up to him and Dillingham, like if Kiffin is too expensive or chooses Florida, I would not be mad if they hired either one of those two. Saban over everyone but that is a pipe dream

I think most of us Auburn fans would love to get Brohm and be able to keep Durkin.

When Bobby Hebert was interviewing Rousse last night he was plugging Brohm as his top choice.
Detillier was chuckling and Rousse was non committal.

I’d be very happy with Brohm.

Not saying they're the same but that sounds like what a former Michigan St coach was trying to do once a long-time ago. You know, the guy Dinardo beat in the Independence Bowl.

I wouldn’t be that pumped. He’s 8-4 year in and out over at an easier conference.

If not Kiffin or Saban, I’d probably lean Kenny Dillingham because he’s hungry.

It’s not, however-

1. You purposely left off his last season at Mich State. Louisville is currently 7-1 but has only played one ranked team and by season’s end will likely have played 0. Comparatively not nearly as difficult of a schedule as Nick played at Michigan State.

2. LSU program in 2025 is not the same as 1999.

3. Expectations then and now are not the same.

3. Are you suggesting Brohm is the next Nick Saban?

He’s in the same bucket as Kiffin, Dillingham and Heupel for me.

All would be excellent pulls, and I don’t think any of them are leaving their current school.

If LSU could pull it off I would be happy with any of them.

LSU fans ( the vocal ones) hate every coach when first hired. Only love them when they win a championship is delivered. The vocal ones for this hire want either Saban, Kiffin, or Lanning. If not any of those, then the vocal ones express their opinions.

I don't think he would leave UL. It is his alma mater. Same with Key.

At this time, Jeff Brohm of Louisville should be a very strong candidate and I think LSU could do far worse.

Could do worse for sure. Right now theyre 7-1. May have to wait a bit to hire him, if they make the playoffs that is.

If you are willing to wait, I say Lane.

I would absolutely love that hire. I’m nothing more than a huge LSU fan but if it was me making this coaching hire right now, I would have Brohm 3rd behind Lanning and Kiffin and I would not hesitate to get him if I couldn’t get a solid commitment from either of those first 2.
