Wait what? What did he do wrong?

He had his players hit the QB, legally, as often as possible. How big a of a pussy do you have to be to clutch your pearls over that?

I would have had him escorted out of the stadium immediately after the game last night if I were the owner of the Jets. Williams likes to talk a huge game, but he is an idiot and yesterday demonstrated it.

When you hire Greg Williams, you know EXACTLY what you are going to get.

He will land a job at one of the dozen organizations that have not made the mistake of hiring him yet.

Yesterday was done on purpose. That’s not possible to do 2 plays in a row

Yeah that was some b.s. Agholor got behind the defense by 10 yards on the play right before that and Carr just over threw him. Ridiculous

Gregg Williams fired

You know all the times when a coach does something stupid and people come crashing the message boards calling that stupid decision a "fireable offense"...and most of the time it is just angry, reactionary hyperbole?

Well what Gregg Williams did in the last 30 seconds of the game yesterday was indeed a fireable offense, as it turns out.

He probably has another 8-9 head coach offers on the table again

He'll be hard pressed to find another DC job in the league much less HC job. The game has passed him by.

Can only guess that he thought maybe a hook and ladder type play with Ruggs' speed so he wanted at least one in a spy over the middle. Only thing I can think of.

Nope thats terrible too. They have to score a TD theres like 10-15 seconds on the clock put at least 3-4 on the goal line
and if they catch it in front of you make the tackle. Football 101

Jets probably gave him a bonus on the way out while pretending in public they were upset with the loss.

You're watching the wrong sport if you get this angry over legal hard hits.

On the second to last play they were actually in 2 deep, only rushing 4 and got beat by a guy splitting the safeties but Carr overthrew him.

So when that didn't work he said frick it and brought the house on the last play. The spy was dumb though.

Its not about them hitting the QB its about the clear intention of trying to injure the QB. Its a fricking game and Gregg had people trying to end a career and give someone lifelong brain damage. He was paying $10,000 to have people target a specific person and cripple him. It's psychopath behavior. You could easily argue that he should been arrested for it.

The goal of the defense is to stop the offense from advancing the ball. It isn't their job to maim their peers.

hitting people super hard so they think twice every snap is a huge part of football. I take it you've never been a lineman or linebacker, because you wouldn't be such a pussy about this
