Well I'd agree that jimbos resume is better, obviously. But Petrino has never had the resources or program that jimbo has at fsu. I would be very happy with either.

Eta - petrin O isn't the recruiter that jimbo is. So that's a definite hit on him. But the guy can flat out coach a football team.

Petrino has a 10 million dollar buyout and is a classless a-hole with tons of baggage. I get interviewing him but no chance be even sniffs the head coach job at LSU.

Random,
In one update you mentioned that there were three names. You said Jimbo, Herman and you wouldn't name the third for fear of downvotes button being broken. Lol. Was Petrino that name? If not, I'm pretty sure after naming Petrino it's safe to mention any others.

What's wrong with that? That's still options 3A and 3C.

Coach O shouldn't be in the top 10 for this job and if he wasn't a cajun from Louisiana no one would want him to be.

Petrino will be contacted and potentially interviewed.

But you said . . . . Ignore anything you hear otherwise. Both my guys say that numerous candidates would have to fall through for Petrino to even be considered.

quote: Petrino Won't be considered unless Herman and Shaw turn down.

We know that Shaw has said no, so I guess the word is out on Herman being a No? And Jimbo too?

Im not sure you know what contingency means... here, I'll use it in a sentence for you.... I've been trying to hook up with this hot blonde with big tits but if she turns me down, I'll go with my contingency plan instead and nail the whale (fat chick)

And concerning Shaw, I wouldn't believe anything that is said during the season... that don't necessarily mean I think he comes here, but you can't believe anything anyone says public ally right now and you should know that by now

There was no "gentleman's agreement" unfortunately.

I agree, but even if there were, i seriously doubt that it would have made it to a message board.

Can someone explain to me what they see in Shaw? I truly am curious. I see a close resemblance to Les Miles with Shaw. Inherited a damn successful program from Harbaugh but hasn't really done anything with it. His offense is eerily similar to Les' offense. It evolves around one player. Im not trying to bash the guy. Just trying to understand what makes him a leading target over some other quality coaches.

Nobody is saying to just give him the job because he's from Louisiana. A lot of us just want him to succeed because of that.

Not to mention, I don't think we would be losing many more top talent from Louisiana if O were the head coach. The HS coaches in our state would be 100% behind him.

Not really it was Western Kentucky that bailed him out.

2011 Stanford 11–2 8–1 T–1st (North) L Fiesta† 7 7
2012 Stanford 12–2 8–1 T–1st (North) W Rose† 6 7
2013 Stanford 11–3 7–2 T–1st (North) L Rose† 10 11
2014 Stanford 8–5 5–4 2nd (North) W Foster Farms
2015 Stanford 12–2 8–1 1st (North) W Rose† 3 3

4 out of 5 seasons he won 11 games at Stanford is probably why people keep throwing his name around. I tend to agree he just kept the ship moving and he likes a ball control offense. That doesn't make him Miles, but I think it makes him really similar in offense philosophy.

I am not advocating for David Shaw by any means and I really don't think he wants to leave Stanford from everything I have read over the past two years. Just putting the facts why I think some people keep throwing that name around.

I agree. If Jimbo is not the coach, that means we had one helluva finish under O!

Saban ruffles feathers, and Harbaugh takes those feathers and wipes his arse with them them shoves them down your throat.

pumped about having Jimbo as our HC. Do their recent losses hold any weight on their decisions? Or make contacting them any easier?

I can answer that...NO!
