Yeah pretty shite move to do right before they're about to play for the AAC title.

I would fire the AD in this situation. You can replace him easier than a good FB coach.

Boy, this sucks for the Green Wave right before the AAC Championship. Could cost the Wave their first major bowl since 1939 when they went to the Sugar Bowl.

Why you blaming the AD? This isn't on him unless there is something we don't know. I am kind of shocked by this. I thought Fritz was a better man than this, bailing on his team days before playing for a championship.

My theory on Troy Dannen is he did try at first but the “Tulane” kind of rubbed off on him.
He made one great hire (Fritz) in the most important sport, but hasn’t done much to improve or promote any of Tulane’s other programs

He’s an option guy and GT still has option guys on the roster. Not like he’s coming into a team built to Air Raid. I think he’ll make a solid showing in year 1 and take off from there.

While I could be wrong I think he got a raise after the last time he interviewed with a school. Was either Kansas or Kansas State.
