Seems like Georgia Tech will be a difficult place to win consistently at.

Up until last year they had a national championship in 1990 and Georgia was 1980.

While I could be wrong I think he got a raise after the last time he interviewed with a school. Was either Kansas or Kansas State.

Missouri.

I think Fritz really wanted the K - State job but wasn’t offered.

He’s not wrong, though.

Unless Tulane is really being tight I think fritz could make more money at Tulane long term.

After this season and presumably another good season next year with Pratt back and the conference weakened, Fritz would basically be untouchable at Tulane.

If he isn’t winning in year 3 at Georgia tech he’s a 65 year old fired coach with no proven success above the AAC.

A real bummer. There is a decent program to be had at Tulane but not sure they will ever achieve it given the stepping stone nature of the job. Fritz seemed like a real chance at a long term coach.

I totally forgot the Mizzou job. Thanks. Honestly I think most of these interviews are him just trying to leverage more money for him and staff. If Tulane can't up the money for one or both then things are worse at Tulane than imagined.

Based on the decisions Tulane has made in the past I wouldn’t say I have total confidence in them… but we have somewhat better leadership now.

Troy Dannen is a dumbass but he understands that football drives the bus and he’s going to try to keep this coaching staff at Tulane. Fritz and all his assistants need to get paid.

One thing I’ve learned in life is that Tulane will disappoint you but the administration is more friendly towards athletics than they used to be. It keeps alumni involved and creates exposure for the university. Too bad it took 60 years to figure this out

True, but what type of winning? There's winning at Tulane which he is doing or winning at GaTech. The ACC has better resources and teams for now. GaTech has better resources and has had good teams in the past.

Tulane has limits. This could be just a good run he is on. He's better off taking the money and potential at GaTech. If he gets fired he retires or finds another job like Tulane. He's in a win-win.
