Tucker may turn out to be a great coach, but he would be a huge reach right now. I would take Aranda or Napier before even considering him.

In name only and maybe only for a short time. The Big 12’s TV contract will only be a little better than the current AAC’s when UT and OU leave. Also, Gundy just went on the record talking about the next wave of conference realignment. It’s the runt conference and anyone who can move out and up will. That would likely be OSU and Kansas with maybe ISU and TCU.

Y’all can downvote me all you want but Mel Tucker is well regarded in the coaching circles. His name will come up and he will get some serious consideration. This coming from my only source who happens to work for an NFL team. He brought his name up to me unsolicited when we started talking about a potential new coach.
