If we hire Mel Tucker, I’m done with LSU. There are many more qualified and more experienced coaches who would come to LSU.

Many big donors and ticket holders will bolt.
If Tucker were white you wouldn’t even hear his name.
Influential people = JBE and Tate.
His undefeated season thus far are nobodys, will end the season with 3 to 4 losses

You don’t replace your 8-4 coach with another 8-4 coach.

Yeah, makes sense.

He fits the Nick Saban / Les Miles pattern - success in major conference play at a 'secondary school,' clean reputation and strong growth potential.

Not necessarily my first choice, but he can definitely succeed at LSU.

We don’t have an 8-4 coach . We have a 6-6 coach

Wiki: On January 18, 2013 Tucker was named defensive coordinator of the Chicago Bears.[10] Following one of the worst defensive seasons in Bears' history in 2013, Tucker was criticized by the media.[11] As a result, the team fired two of Tucker's assistant coaches, linebackers coach Tim Tibesar and defensive line coach Mike Phair.[12] The Bears replaced them with Paul Pasqualoni as defensive line coach and Reggie Herring as linebackers coach.[13]

On January 20, 2015, following another record-setting low defensive season for the Bears in 2014, Tucker was replaced by former San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Vic Fangio under new head coach John Fox.[14]

He's undefeated right now because they haven't played anybody good. Do not want Tucker

There’s about 50 candidates between Tucker and Saban.

He won't be in the running if MSU falls apart.

Now what if they run the table and end up beating Ohio State and Michigan? Still wouldn't want?

Same record as Saban had when we hired him away from Michigan St.

His HC history is pretty short and mediocre. He was a bad DC in the NFL in spots. I'd rather Aranda if we are getting someone who's had fairly short stints as a Power 5 coach.

One good season is not a qualification to be a head coach.

He is a mediocre head coach!! Soon as he loses to OSU and Michigan it’s over. I can’t believe with all the coaches available we would even consider hiring him!! Unbelievable!!

He still has to play Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue. They haven't beaten a ranked team yet this year.
