Well, the announcement of Mike Bianco as the new head baseball coach was apparently imminent. So...

We know who is enamored and why. Tell Tate to take his enamored feelings somewhere else!

I think Tucker could be a fine coach, but I don't see Woodward going for him. There are bigger fish that will accept the job.

This doesn't surprise me at all. It also doesn't mean Woodward is even considering him.

The melt if LSU hires Michigan states 8-4 coach this year would be bad.

Michigan State is 7-0 . You think they are losing 4 out of their next 5? Seriously where do you people come from???

5-7 in his first year at Colorado.
2-5 in his first year at Michigan State.

7-0 right now. But those are wins over:

- Northwestern
- Youngstown State
- Miami
- Nebraska
- Western Kentucky
- Indiana
- Rutgers

None of this would justifiably qualify any coach as being the next head coach at LSU.

Doesn’t seem like a Woodward hire BUT — might be conference coach of the year & has been an assistant/coordinator on multiple CFB National championship teams.

Only real ugly blemish is with the bears. I don’t hold anything that happens in year 0 at COLORADO or MSU against him anymore than I would hold Aranda’s year 0 at Baylor.

I mean, it's certainly possible.

3 of their last 5 games are against Penn State, Michigan, and Ohio State.

Even if MSU finishes 10-2, are we really hiring head coaches based on one good season now?

You are aware of the toxic shitshow that whole Michigan State athletic department was 2 years ago, right?

Lol. You think that should be the leading reason to hire him at LSU?

Well no one is getting hired today..what if he runs the table and wins the Big? I have no doubt he will get an interview, dont think he will be the hire.

People keep saying this and it is one of the dumbest arguments made to not hire a guy.

I’m not saying Fickell should be the guy, but…

Ed is out so if Fickell is the guy we can begin negotiations with his agent and get a deal in place to start as soon as his season ends.

Then argument is recruiting, but if he’s the right guy losing a small handful of recruits shouldn’t matter in the long run.

Don’t hire the wrong guy just so you can get him in early for recruiting purposes. Hire the right guy and recruiting will take care of itself.

Tucker isn't my top pick, but he's a good coach and his resume is a thousand times better than O was in 2016

who do you think? Saban?

That's the only thing that would satisfy most of the idiots on this board.

All of those teams are beatable. Hell Oregon beat Ohio State at the shoe and have looked mediocre at best ever since.

What was Sabans record at Michigan State before LSU hired him?

I will help you . Saban had Ed Orgeron 500 seasons at Michigan State before his last year there when he was 9-2.
So to answer YOUR question; yes why not? What’s the difference?

Here’s a little linky link in case you were confused

Mel Tucker may be a great coaches

It’s just hard to tell.

Bad record at Colorado, but it was a bad football team and he was there 1 year.

First year at MSU was terrible but he took over in a Covid year in February.

He’s doing much better this year, but he hasn’t really played anyone.

He will gain a ton of traction if he can beat some of these ranked teams.
