I don't see how anyone who was at least partially responsible for 2010's offensive performance can be retained, let alone promoted.

My statement is TRUE!!!

Billy G. has NEVER called a play ad an OC!ll

Read the part of OC carefully and I knew that he was involved in the play calling at Florida inside the red zone before you posted it. That's why my sentence reads like it does but I respect your opinion on Billy G. I hope you are dead wrong though

I'd be excited if Les named Cathy Miles to be the new OC.

Prediction:
Miles and Crowton to Michigan on Saturday.
Chavis stays.
New coach hires new OC.
New coach is _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _

I get blasted everytime I say who the next coach is, so I just won't say it.

Seriously. Tom Brady would be Tom Brady with Crowton coaching him. Favre is Favre and played at So MS - what's his OCs name ?

Uh...Mike Holmgren (and don't tell me Holmgren was just the head coach...everybody knows Holmgren ran the offense, just like Saban calls his own defense). And Steve Mariucci was Brett Favre's QB coach. Who else was on Favre's 1992 offensive staff? Andy Reid and Jon Gruden. Yeah Favre had a bunch of nobodies surrounding him during his NFL upbringing.

Weis was instrumental in Brady's growth. Weis will have success at Florida.

If Miles stays he will probably promote from within (why does everyone act so surprised? Billy G. left UF because he was pissed urbs didn't make him the OC...do you think Billy G. would have come to LSU to fill the same spot he had at UF WITHOUT some sort of promise that he would be the OC in waiting?). I'm not sure Billy G. will be a great OC--but he may be. He spent a lot of time around winners who thought that he added enough to the winning to keep him around at every stop, so that says a lot to me. But people are correct that he's never been the head guy, so we don't know how that will go. LSU could've gotten a higher profile, more proven commodity, but as usual will settle with the b-version of all things coaching and hope our exceptional talent ratio will win the day.

But Billy G. may work out. I'm far more optimistic about Billy G. than I was about the promotion-from-within of dumb and dumber in '08.

I don't think it's a horrible option.

Especially not if we can bring in a good QB coach.

Billy got his start at Kent State under. Everyone writes him off immediately as a Meyer protege/spread option type of guy, but I wouldn't quite pigeon hole him yet.

This.
