Crowton is resigning....Billy G being strongly considered for OC...

From a very trusted source. I know there has been speculation of Les interviewing candidates and whatnot. But I consider this to be very firm and would even feel confident to get this stickied, fwiw.
ETA: This is coming from inside the athletic department. It might not be tonight, but he's going to cite personal reasons and Gonzales is a very strong candidate as his replacement. I hear Crowton won't even call plays tonight.

I don't think anything happens tonight. Why would an asst coach take the spotlight as an oppurtunity to resign? Unless he has a job already served up & waiting on him, which nothing indicates that to be the case. Nobody wants him gone more than I do but the whole "resigning after the bowl game" bit for an asst coach just doesn't seem like the norm. We can all hope though!!!

I'll be highly upset if Billy G is the pick, everything I've heard has us moving away from the spread. Billy would tell me Les still wants to roll with JJ next season....and well that's just depressing
