my point is that his hiring is not sufficient to differentiate the quality of Fls program vs LSUs program.
Your right the way to differentiate that is the fact that they have Weis now and we are still stuck with a guy that made a killing running high power offenses the year after the previous guy left and then running them into the ground.

For the love of God, Billy G. has never called a freaking play in his life as a OC!!!
THat's not true.
He called Florida's redzone plays 2 years ago.

I can buy that one but to be fair, we should be afforded the opportunity to upgrade upon his departure prior to any judgments being made.

That's a tough job.
"Billy, what't the call."
"Uh. Snap it to Tim in the shotgun and let him do something?"
"Good call Billy"

The problem is Les wants somebody that will allow him to meddle with the offense a great deal. Billy G being young and an OC for the first time at a big time program allows Miles to do just that.

Not sure really, but I do know it was his responsibility.
My friend who roots for Florida even bemoaned it during the bowl game this year..

Ya know what's unacceptable for this program? Fielding a total offense ranked 112th, dead last in the SEC, followed by fielding the 107th ranked passing game, dead last in the SEC, with 3 5* WRs at your disposal.
Promoting Gonzales is an upgrade from the current coordinator we have now. To be fair though, a brain damaged gorilla is also an upgrade from the current offensive coordinator we have now.

Gonzalez deserves a chance. With Les he'll get several.

I don't think it's a horrible option.
Especially not if we can bring in a good QB coach.
Billy got his start at Kent State under. Everyone writes him off immediately as a Meyer protege/spread option type of guy, but I wouldn't quite pigeon hole him yet.

Poster posts GC will resign after Cotton Bowl.
Poster also posts BG is a candidate to replace (as would be assumed since he was just brought in a PG coord and is on staff).
ranter freeks turn thread into a bitch session.
Typical TD thread. You people suck!
I will be whistling all night long thinking that GC is gone soon and someone (anyone) will be replacing him. If his replacement is BG that leaves an opening on staff to bring in a QB coach.

It might not be tonight, but he's going to cite personal reasons and Gonzales is a very strong candidate as his replacement.

If your wrong I will punch you in the balls.

too much unknown for my liking.

I don't see how anyone who was at least partially responsible for 2010's offensive performance can be retained, let alone promoted.
Posted on 1/7/11 at 1:48 pm to BilJ
it scares me too, bit it could work out especially if we bring in solid qb coach

Literally true. I'd be excited if Les named Cathy Miles to be the new OC.
