He will be drafted in the first round, question is if he has another big game against Clemson in an LSU win. Could go top 10-15.
More than held his own against Andrew Thomas. Played every single snap against UGA. That spin move against Isaiah Wilson was pure beast mode.

Rewatching the game..

Posted by geauxaddai on 10/20/19 at 7:36 pm
Towards the end of the game Burrow appears to be locked in conversation with Terrace Marshall. I think this offense misses him and hope he is back next week. Sullivan has filled in admirably, but he is not an explosive athlete like Marshall is.

I suggest you rephrase this question

Yours' was a left-handed compliment, my friend, and needs to be rescinded. If you don't humble yourself and properly communicate (edit your post) your true intent, then everyone will understand what you actually meant to say (subliminal denigration of Miles).

Good grief people. I will wait for this vibe of positivity, if heavens forbid, LSU loses a close game a la 2012, another night game in Death Valley they should have won despite dominating Bama.
I will still maintain that he is the best coach in LSU history. But it wouldn't surprise me to find some of you horde of bandwagoners call for his head!

You should edit the OP, then, because you will continue to get this reaction.

I also continue to get the opposite reaction, as you can see. Relax, my post was not a slight in anyway. But to not acknowledge he evokes contrasting emotions from Tiger fans, despite his huge success, is to have cognitive dissonance.

Congrats sir, you get a down vote.

You sir, are a dick. I was only conceding that his tenure at LSU have at times made him a polarizing figure. I personally think he is the best coach for LSU. Here, have your stupid downvote back moron.

Some very revealing quotes from Chavis on Les'

quote:

"Nobody panicked. There wasn't any panic around here," said LSU defensive coordinator John Chavis, whose defense has allowed just three touchdowns and three field goals over its opponents' past 37 possessions. "We just went back to work, corrected the things we needed to correct and made sure everybody was on the same page.

quote:

"Coach Miles does that as well as anybody, making sure everybody is pulling in the same direction, and I'm not just talking about the players. I'm talking about the coaches. I'm talking about everybody. He has a conviction about this program that doesn't waver, and that's whether you get beat like we did [against Auburn] or win a championship.

quote:

"It truly is a family here, and I can't imagine ever wanting to coach anywhere that it's not that way."

He may have underachieved at LSU, but something tells me we will miss him when he does retire.
quote:

to say that is the reason our offense sucks is crazy. and misinformed. and over simplistic. last year, one of your two years, LSU's offense was the most prolific in the history of our school.

When the defense knows the play call without having to guess, it makes it easier to defend as a team. Last year was an aberration, and not the norm for offense in the Les Miles era.

LSU has run most plays (80) with at least two RBs and two TEs + two or less WRs of any team in nation. Next are Pitt with 59, BC with 54.

quote:

David Ching ?@ESPNChing 1m
LSU was second nationally in 2013 with 228 plays where it lined up at least two RBs and two TEs + two or less WRs

At this pace, 2014 is easily on pace to break 228.
Article worth a read, it disseminates the match-up between the lines and has a lot of good points to make.

Film Study

I still think the history of this series will eventually be too hard to overcome for State, but I am actually looking forward to this match up. This will tell us a lot about LSU, and will either bring the best or the worst out of this team.
I know we need him, I said as much. I was wondering if the NCAA rules for redshirting has a limit on the number of snaps he could play in his Fr. year.

I know Miles hasn't settled on a QB yet, and chances are he will still be needed at some point in the season..but if Jennings improves as the QB and leads LSU to a respectable offense, can Harris still take a redshirt?

P.S: I am not trying to pick one QB over the other, just wondering if we will have a chance to maximize our current backup QB'e eligibility.
This really happened. His quotes are epic.

quote:

Lubern Figaro was VERY outspoken on feeling disrespected by all of the talk around the SEC's speed and not enough talk about #Badgers speed

quote:

Figaro "I've never ran so many plays, so many defenses in my life" when asked about the transition to Wisconsin

quote:

Figaro on SEC speed vs B1G "You should feel disrepected. We all know the Big Ten is better than the SEC!

quote:

Figaro "We match their speed. We are way more physical than them. This is Wisconsin."

Really?

Only in relation to Alabama, and now other teams can also hurt LSU when it comes to recruiting.

Greg Robinson turns pro

Posted by geauxaddai on 1/8/14 at 10:50 am
A little bit off topic, but he is widely projected to be a first rounder. I know La'el Collins was a better prospect when we recruited them both so I really hope Collins is a first rounder as well.

If he isn't, it really speaks to our offensive line coaching and player development. For that matter, most of our rivals (Alabama, A&M, and Auburn) are projected to have an offensive tackle drafted in the first round.
Shea Dixon confirmed that AJ will probably start in the bowl game. Not good for Mett's draft hopes if true.
I would give him credit but perhaps reserve comment to see if he sacks Stud and brings in a quality OL coach. It is clear that even when our OL is good, they can be inconsistent. And that is simply not good enough to win championships.

Say WHA?
