Can we end the kiffin sucks narrative?

The nfl is a different beast
At USC they had massive scholarship limitations and a bowl ban and he never had a losing record and in fact was 10-2 one year.
At Tennessee he had the one year of excitement that program has had in nearly a decade until this year.
They had 4 straight losing season after him.
Can you hate him because of his previous attitude/cockiness sure. However the narrative of him being a failure as a head coach is blatantly false. He also has improved as a coach tremendously

yea its a weird meme that they are parroting. I don't think anyone wants him as the first option but LK isn't the worse choice if we have to leave the Herman, Jimbo Petrino tier.

He went 7-6 at Tennessee. That's not exciting. That's a shitshow. He's a poor HC but a great OC, and I'd be happy to have him as an OC, but not as a HC

With less than a full year at UT, Kiffin had the NCAA's all over UT's program. When he left, they shut down the investigations, but they were all over him. Think of a UT/Kiffin version of Black Bears/Freeze. Plus, Al Davis called him "the biggest liar I have even known". Now, if he was still married to .............

He's talented but a total sleezeball. He hasn't had success as a head coach and has shown very poor judgement the little time he was one. We would be taking an awfully big risk, that's just the truth. He's a coin flip at best and I'm not sure we should take that chance considering he left one program high and dry and got fired twice in flaming flaming dumpster fires. He needs to prove himself as a head coach at a smaller school and work his way up the right way.

The only reason Ed is being considered is because he has 8 games to prove himself. If we do really well, he deserves to be considered for the job. If we do poorly, he doesn't get considered

The way I see it is: everyone KNOWS he is a talented coach. Of that there is no doubt. He does have baggage.. He has been around the block.. But we all agree LSU is a major coaching destination and to be honest IMO it is better than any of the other places he has been.
He is a child, or has been. But at some point every child grows up. Imagine if we were the ones to allow that to happen...

No. You can't bring in someone who could possibly damage the brand or program when there are other options out there. If there were no options, fine. We take a gamble

We hired two of the guys that were on that staff Frank Wilson and Ed O. Everyone said they were complicit but forgot that the day they donned the purple and gold.
