Multiple Miami AD candidates told @ActionNetworkHQ UM’s search is a “mess.” With more than 50 board of trustees & several donors involved “everyone is in charge, no one is in charge. They don’t know what they want to do w/Manny (Diaz). Half want him gone, half want him to stay"
This chaos is gonna help Manny get another year IMO.

Manny Diaz is going to end up like the high school football coach who is also the school’s AD

How the mighty tumble. Man this program use to be the talk of NCAA every year.

This is the "alignment" that Brian Kelly was harping on yesterday...Miami clearly out of alignment.
Edited to add: "alignment"

Not that complicated. Bring him back and let the new AD deal with it next year rather than having whoever the hell is in charge now hiring a HC.

Can you believe there are Miami fans who actually think Cristobal or Kiffin would happily throw away their current situations for that shite show?

And yet everytime there’s an opening, people on this board think they can grab some massive name to bring them back to being the U Miami is a clusterfrick
Posted on 12/2/21 at 3:59 pm to 1999
frick it, I’ll do it for $200k/year.

No doubt. Change the names and this is exactly the mess LSU was in years back. What a difference competent leadership makes. Feels good.

Fixed. Succinct and more accurate.

If they can't get everybody pulling in the same direction, they might as well give Diaz another year. Miami won 5 of 6 to end the season, with wins over Pitt and NC State.
Even if they hire a new AD tomorrow, I doubt these admins will make enough guarantees or concessions to pull Kiffin or Cristobal. So who can they get that's remarkably better?
I'm not trying to defend Diaz, but if the school is still going to give half-arse support to the program, changing coaches won't do much, if anything.

Kiffin is dying to get to that shite show program I’m sure
Kiffin is getting $400 million in facility upgrades and a raise to 8.5 million a year.
Tell me again why he would go to Miami? “ItS sOuTh BeAcH” isn’t a valid or intelligent response

I know FSU is down too but Miami just feels dead, from the top down. They act like they don't give a single shite about football anymore

Sounds like a 3rd world country in a civil war

no coincidence Donna Shalala returned to The U earlier this year.
