That wouldn’t surprise me. He doesn’t seem like a guy that would want to go live in LA.

Campbell took nothing and made it something...Riley took something and maintained it...Campbell is a great coach...

LSU was a smoke screen to force Oklahoma's hand and/or fatten the USC offer. The contract leak is almost certain proof of that. LSU never targeted LR.

Change my mind.

I can appreciate Campbell's loyalty to ISU but at some point it has to become career limiting.

Well yeah, but most of the dinguses here wont belive it..

That’s how this site operates. And it’s not like there weren’t a lot of obnoxious LSU posters flaunting that we landed Riley and that the rest of the SEC was fkd.

Riley came about because OU refused to up the money dedicated to the facilities needed to compete with the SEC

I don't buy this at all. I don't think Oklahoma would go cheap on facilities because they are dedicated to having a great football program.

Riley also is really good with QB recruiting and development.

A lot of people are saying this but please explain this to me. The only quarterback he had a chance to develop was Mayfield. Granted he may can recruit but it doesn’t take much to make a quarterback look good in the Big 12.

I'd be shocked if Oklahoma doesn't try to replace Riley with Campbell. Seems like an easy fit.

Nope. Riley to USC was in the works for a while. USC is a Private School, and they wont divulge anything they don't have to, so it's all speculative.

If we didn’t offer Riley who exactly have offered? We supposedly never talked to Napier either. I’m starting to think Woody isn’t talking to anyone.

Not sure but his wife is a former Olympic gymnast.

if its aranda or one of the tier 2 guys, I'd say yes its obvious LSU offered

if its Rhule I'd venture to say we did not offer and it was Lincoln's reps attaching him to LSU to squeeze USC/OU

The loyalty will certainly not be reciprocated if they have back to back losing seasons.

Matt Campbell can stay at ISU as long as he wants to. Do you know how many back to back losing seasons that program has had in their history? A losing season definitely isn't the end of the world to ISU.

I'm sure we'll find out soon enough..
Plus,I never thought Riley or Napier were the guys to begin with.. Are they both good coaches...sure. Have they accomplished enough to be a splash hire here where expectations are high, nope.. Who fits that bill? Your guess would be as good as mine.. I have an idea, but I'll wait and see if im right ..
