Hell yeah. Can continue to build UL into a mid major threat. But what does that say about South Carolina’s situation

125 years of history says it's a below average program

Their overall won/loss record is below .500.

No one remembers that.
Didn't SC beat Georgia just last year and wreck their entire season? I 'member.

It's not even the worst job in the SEC East.
it’s better than Kentucky, Vandy, and Missouri. And arguably Tennessee

Wow, might be a smart move to avoid South Carolina.

He must be holding out for a bit better job?

I don’t see LSU ever hiring a head coach directly from ULL, or any other state school for that matter.
FWIW - I have faith in Coach O that he will make the necessary changes to turn the current situation around.

He can sense he'll be a front runner for LSU in 2022

Till the next better offer. He’s gone. Just a matter of the right job. If not this year next.

Well at $2.7 per year for 5 years for Shane Beamer it’s pretty clear why Napier said no. He wanted $4.5 per year and $5M for assistant salary pool. Plus other commitments for the program. If South Carolina wants to compete with Clemson, UNC and UGA in that region they have to make a firm commitment to do so.

Guessing your comment is limited to football (probably men’s basketball too). Y’all plucked our softball coach back in 2000, and she won y’all a World Series (I think). I don’t blame her for taking the job. She deserved it.

We promoted a dline coach to HC, so getting Napier would actually be an improvement.

Would you disagree it would take that for SC to make a run at UGA and FL?
