He's the associate Head Coach at LSU. He and Orgeron reportedly get along great. He's the highest paid coordinator in college football and is paid more than most NFL DCs. He's set to make 2 million dollars next year and the following. A&M would also have to pay his buyout which is around 1.5 million.
In order to feasibly make this work, you'd have to think y'all are willing to pay 9 million dollars over the next 3 years to a DC. (2.5 per year and 1.5 buyout).
There was also rumors that Jimbo didn't want to retain him if he was hired here...
Yesterday he was talking about all the guys he has coming in, and building a defense from the inside out. Why would he want to leave LSU to do a complete rebuild with the weak talent A&M has?
Maybe I'm wrong but I just don't see it. This is completely unlike Chavis. If he does leave for a division opponent, the Orgeron won't make it out of next season.

That's why, as someone mentioned earlier, if he bolts that should tell you all you need to know about the situation at LSU because it won't be about money.

Insiders say ZERO chatter of this with those that matter at LSU.
Would be a huge shock. Aranda isn’t the kind of person to not give some warning.
If Aranda is here at the end of his contract, the next contract should have some HCIW consideration.
