How many times does it have to be said----2016 wasn't Steve's offense. He didn't implement it. He didn't create the terminology. He game planned and called plays from the Missouri game on. That is not a full time OC.

He was fired 3 times as an OC over 2 decades ago.

What were the records again? Individual or team? And those defenses were horrendous. I wish folks would shot with this.

The only two games that mattered we shat the bed. Simple.

Easy question, do you feel fairly confident that SE can game plan against saban?

Gomila dropping F-Bombs and literally telling people to go elsewhere and not read their content after being accurately questioned for his lack of objective criticism of the program-over a period spanning multiple regimes-to readers in the comments was hilariously satisfying.

I thought I was pretty clear - he shite the bed against the the gumps so I have ZERO faith in him as OC versus Saban. My point is that I still don’t see how he was a terrible OC. Solid but not very creative- yes. Again, he would NOT make my personal list of candidates considering I want a spread / read option coach as our OC.

How was he a disaster? I want a different hire than him, but calling his tenure a disaster is moronic. Imho, he lost the job with that conservative shite sandwich against Alabama. My question is, what was bad about the rest? Florida, in spite of it being a loss, was well called as we dominated them. Turnovers and a bad decision by Guice cost us 14 points. We went for it on fourth and goal from the one and didn’t make it. On the next play, Donte gave up a 99 yard pass play on a blown tackle. Let me guess, we should have kicked the field goal (obviously the opposite of N Dame). The other games were record breaking performances. Again, he isn’t on my short list as I want us to see more spread and read option, but I just don’t see how anyone could remotely say his time as OC was a disaster.

It’s a disaster because it officially signals we have stopped even trying to be on the level of the teams we saw last night (remember when we used to play in games like the one last night). It says we are fine being tier two ...

When you are hopeing your alma mater will continue to be an elite program and then they hire both a head coach and an offensive coordinator that literally NO ONE else wanted (no need to get any farther in to analysis and statistics than that) ... it’s a disaster.

If you are happy with 8-5 9-3 year in year out then things aren’t bad.

Dude, stop saying this. 400 yards of offense is not shitting the bed. You look like you have zero objectivity when you say this shite.

Don't speak about things you don't know about.

Steve sleeps at the ops building many nights. When he doesn't most of the time he's out on the recruiting trail. He doesn't want the job because quite frankly it's a big risk for little reward. He's set financially. He loves LSU and wants to finish his career here. Taking this job does nothing but jeopardize that.

Mickey Joseph will stay on as the WR coach.
Don't like this. Don't like it at all.

If DC 2.0 needs help so bad, (As many of the LSU WR's have alluded to) he doesn't need to be on the Staff here.

Saban doesn't tolerate assistants that can't coach.

Orgeron apparently does.

And, why didn't O go out and find an experienced DL coach to take over for Jenkins? Tigers going from two of the best ever DL coaches (Orgeron and Jenkins) to a glorified Grad Assistant with no DL coaching experience.

You can't do that in the SEC West. You can't hire these "Great Recruiters" with limited coaching skills and expect to over take Alabama. You can't recruit all these great athletes and basically have them coach themselves.

More 9-3's and 8-4's coming folks.

And that's perfectly OK for the legions of mediocrity lovers in the fan base with rock bottom expectations and low standards of excellence. (Many who spew their Pump Pablum on here every day of the week)

NOT OK for LSU Alums and all those that desire SEC West (Minimum) Championships every few years or so...........

Yep exactly. I like high expectations at LSU. That’s a big part of what makes me an LSU fan (yes I remember the 90s, and they sucked. Not interested in ever lowering expectations and ending up back there.)

Yea, but SE didn’t have CEO to help him develop the run game plan back then. It’ll be different this time...

I think that I'm emotionally incapable of rooting for LSU to lose but it would be in the best long term interest of the program for next season to go horribly
LSU Grad. GBFTL Alum. Life long LSU die hard. (But HATE losing and mediocrity)

Sometimes you have to accept short term negatives in order to ensure long term positives.

I'll gladly forfeit the 2018 season if it means Alleva is removed because Orgeron tanks it............
