This past weekend Philadelphia Eagles fan Ryan Caldwell became infamous for berating a visiting Green Bay Packers fan with some not-so-kind words. Now, Caldwell is finally speaking about the incident...
quote:

“While attending an NFL game last Sunday to support my beloved Philadelphia Eagles, an incident occurred that I deeply regret,” Caldwell said. “What began as banter with two Packers fans sitting near me escalated to something more serious, and I said things that were unacceptable. In the heat of the moment, I chose unforgiving words to address one of the fans, Ms. Ally Keller.

“I want to sincerely apologize to Ms. Keller for those words, and to my wife, family, and friends, my former employer and colleagues, Packer fans, Eagle fans, the Philadelphia Eagles, the City of Philadelphia, and all who were offended. That said, there are two sides to every story. The video clip circulating online does not reflect the full context of what transpired, and my actions were not without provocation. I will live with this experience, and I am certainly paying a personal price. For those who don’t know me, this incident does not reflect my values or the respect I have for others and is not indicative of the person I am.”

Let's not put women on such a pedestal by saying some don't deserve to be called that. Cant check knuckles with them, so you got to leave some kind of arrow in the quiver. Not saying this one reached the level to deserve it, but we can't say she didn't either. If women want to get down to a man's level then they got to accept the mud flung at them too, and don't deserve the white knighting.

Oh for frick's sake, look at her. She's a fricking wallflower. I agree with you in principle as I've been in lots of situations where some bawdy twat in a bar or parade was so out of line that the word 'count' was the only that was appropriate but I'd bet me house that this was not the case here. He's just trying to deflect. And most likely sucking up to his wife who won't be fricking him for a looong time

Just apologize and move on. You don't need to say "it wasn't without provocation" or "there are two sides to every story" to try and justify yourself. You acted like an a-hole. Own it and move on.

So we got a glimpse into his personality with the video and yet another glimpse with this non-apology. Shocker.....the second glimpse reinforces the first.

"I want to sincerely apologize... That said, there are two sides to every story."

This isn't an apology. It's damage control. There is no side he can give that warrants saying what he said to that woman. I have friends that live in PA and they have told me several stories of Eagles' fans within the stadium and they are all relatively similar to this type of story. He's sorry he got caught, but if it wasn't on video, he would be doing it again.

IOW - they were dressed as Packers fans and that's something he couldn't just let that stand.

Maybe he'll find another DEI consultancy scam job. How many scams are out there like that? Not like he has any real skills.

The gubment, us tax slaves, are prolly paying these foreigners from South Africa $1000/hr for every "consultant" they hire. They then give the unhirable $20/hr to pretend they're doing something.
