When I was a kid, my YMCA football team won the championship and we were invited to be on the Kenny Stabler show in Houston. We went to Rice U to meet Kenny and some other players where they were going to do the filming. Everyone showed but Kenny...we were told he wasn't feeling well.

Alcohol and prostitutes tend to give men grey hair earlier. No secret Stabler lived hard and fast. He was a true gunslinger in his prime. He even drew up plays in the dirt during a superbowl. You can't get more gunslinging than that.

Drew doesn't have a noodle arm, but it isn't a strong arm, either. He's a technician, always has been. But he used to have more arm strength, and it's obvious he struggles to throw the ball anymore than maybe 50 yards down the field.

I don't know what it proved by comparing him to Ken Stabler at the end of his career. The guy didn't take care of himself, and I'm sure anyone who watched him play then had no problem pointing that out.
