Watch Pennsylvania State Police Helicopters Fly Low To Destroy Penn State Tailgates
© Matthew O'Haren-USA TODAY Sports
The Pennsylvania State Police were on a mission on Saturday to break up tailgates prior to the Ohio State vs. Penn State game. They went about it using helicopters and more. Per YouTube...
quote:

Pennsylvania State Police used approximately 20 troopers on foot and 6 mounted troopers in an attempt to break up a very large, rowdy tailgate party, before the Ohio State / Penn State game on 9/29/18.

When that didn't work, they called in a state police helicopter.
The helicopter pilot used the p.a. to order the crowd to disperse. And then used the down draft to get the point across, blowing down canopies, etc..

Yeah a tent toppling over and paralyzing some kid, would have be a nice touch. The pilot and whoever allowed /ordered it should be fired.

So stupid for so many reasons.

We as LSU fans should commend Joe Alleva then (sarcasm ON). He is destroying tailgates at LSU without the use of helicopters.

That's dumb as shite. What if one of the lighter tents had been lifted up, got in the rotor and heli does down, explodes and kills a bunch of people. I'd be willing to bet the pilot is in deep shite for doing a stunt like that.

That pilot is about to lose his license to fly from the FAA. That is a huge no-no.

I would have loved to have been injured but not gravely injured, would have been a no brainer lawsuit for Morris Bart

Head of the police needs to be fired at the least.

I like how they tried to justify this stunt, too bad the federal government is about to break it off in their arse

They say kids are out of control today, but adults are the ones who have lost their minds here.

A “rowdy” tailgate? Are you kidding me? This could have been disastrous. I can’t even imagined who played this but the school and the state are about to he sued.

Kids are not the problem of today. It is the parents of said kids that cause the high majority of the problems.

They're tailgating in a controlled space. You know where they are and it's just kids doing dumb shite. The state overstepping its bounds on this one.

It’s always “the kids” when any authority is strong handed

Were they trying to spot pedophiles? Seriously, what was the point? Let's say the police did get a call of some rowdy business going on. You are telling me their first thought was "let's go fly the helicopter right over them. If we go frick up everyone's tailgate party, that will teach them".

"...their first thought was "let's go fly the helicopter right over them."

No, that wasn't their first thought. Do you not read?

"Pennsylvania State Police used approximately 20 troopers on foot and 6 mounted troopers in an attempt to break up a very large, rowdy tailgate party...When that didn't work, they called in a state police helicopter."

I watched all 3 videos but didn't see any rowdy behavior. :-( I bet that's the last time PA State Police use their helicopters like that.
