I don’t like spiking the football. You won. Good. Just be gracious in victory. “We’re glad these guys were given their fare opportunity like the rest of the ncaa.”

That's what you say to the judge, not Greg Sankey.

What a tool for marketing and conversation. As if the SEC needs it. A decision was made to allow 5 for 5 and athletes took advantage of it. Is LSU supposed to lie down and let these great athletes enroll with a competing school?

First time hearing a lawyer talk?

I’ll admit this was cringe. But Tony Clayton is one of the best trial lawyers in the South. His charisma and photographic memory in front of a jury is unmatched. I’ve seen him try a number of cases and he won them all. My only negative as you see here; when he starts talking, sometimes he can’t stop.

To be so young & naive.

Walk away. LSU will get hammered in the end. Is this risk worth the reward? No. Do not go through the season under controversy. Could be a disaster. Put it in the closet LK.

It’s not his choice. Geez. People get informed before you comment. If he doesn’t roster them without valid reason, LSU get sued by the players. LSU was enjoined in the suit by the judge—they were not the ones who brought the suit. Therefore, they cannot be punished by the SEC for rostering. If the federal suit holds up and the SEC attempts to punish them, they can counter that at the time the decision was made to roster, the players were indeed eligible.

I have a question, because I'm crazy confused. LSU won this case and these guys contribute, now the SEC and NCAA is pissed, say we end up with an 11-1 record. Could the NCAA come back on us and punish us and we have to forfeit all the games those players played in?
user avatar
Once again, it wasn't LSU's case!

It was the players' case.
user avatar
No they cannot.
user avatar
Cute line...until the SEC lawyers and AD's put LSU on a diet of "fasting." It's coming.
user avatar
They can't retro. Naivety at it's best.

I just don’t like the fact that WE are second lining out the court house like we won something of importance. All of this over 3 football players that were not good enough right now to make a NFL roster. I am not blaming the kids at all. There are very powerful people right now looking like fools and powerful people like that don’t like looking like that and will stop at nothing to put it to us. In the short run yeah the tigers win but in the long run I am not so sure. Why isn’t any of the talking heads talking about Trinidad chambliss’s case? A sore throat REALLY!! Or Texas having a kid on there roster that attended nfl training camp. This is obviously personal for the mainstream . God forbid the tigers have a good team. They hate the swagger that hopefully the tigers can have all year long. Geaux tigers!!!
user avatar
So dumb. LSU didn't win a thing because it wasn't their battle.

And to think they aren't good enough for the NFL that they can't be a top player in college is just stupid.

When will some of you stop saying "why do this for guys that weren't good enough for the NFL?". Because they (especially the two former Ole Miss guys) are really good college players. Do do know how many players are good enough for the NFL? Hardly any.

Because NCAA opened the door for another year eligibility looong after they went to the draft. Had the door been opened prior to the draft many of them would have stayed in college. If anyone should be penalized it would be the NCAA
