Here's what he had to say about the response.

Two TD’s by SC had blatant holding that went uncalled. Can someone send the SC coach a video highlighting the two uncalled holds.

When 8 refs cant get a single jersey # correct on penalties the entire day you have to question their process.

Offsides, Offense #1098.

Herbie was amazed at how inept the officials were at getting this right 5-6 times.

I like the dude. Hope he does well over there. That game coulda went either way. Both teams and the refs made mistakes too.

There were bad impactful calls both ways.

The call on the hit on Nuss was made without ref knowing it was a pick 6.

Then you pick up the flag. There is no way to defend that call.

Like it or not, that call was by the book. QB head was turned making him defenseless.

Naw I don’t think so. Blindside block on a player that could not be part of the play. He got hit because he was the QB

I like Beamer. Never had a problem with his personality from afar. If they get the QB worked out, it's going to be a really good season.

Bad calls and NO calls in that game that cost both teams. I’m not mad LSU came out on top because LSU has been on the short end of the stick when it comes to SEC officiating in the past.

Class! Much respect for this man. There is no way he could’ve handled it any better.

No doubt, appears to be a helluva coach too

He handled it about as good as you could have been handled... There are questionable calls in every game. Many calls boil down to the judgment of the official, and officials are going to have differing opinions. I damn sure wouldn't want to be a ref in this league or in any league for that matter.

He’s got a lot of reasons to bitch about the officiating, so does Kelly. Worst game I think I’ve ever seen called, that crew should never work another game

It's probably just me...but his voice sounds like he could be a ole baw for Louisiana at parts of that interview.

That makes $4 mil a year prob. Insane how much these guys, while an MIT engineer could run this guy through an IQ test like Michael Jordan prime would vs a middle school kid in basketball. The football coaching system is severely outdated. Coaching is about brains, they don't play on the field. They are paid for brains. Pay millions for a job about brains? Hire the best. Not 19 ACT'ers.

I was actually at the game. The reason the fans were so upset at the calls is because after every penalty, even a simple outsides penalty , the refs would all huddle up for 2 mins and then make the call. I mean EVERY penalty. Its like they were learning their jobs during the game. They would also tell the linemen to move the First down chains too soon during a penalty. The linemen would be told to move the chains, the refs would go into their dammm 2 min huddle and then come out and call the penalty against the offensive team and they would move the chains back. So of course when Carolina fans saw the chains moving back after getting a first down. They would go ballistic. All the refs looked like rookies scared to death to just make a call and move forward.

The offensive pass interference call against them was one of the more bizarre calls I can remember in recent memory.

I did not think the hard block and Nuss was a great call either but any kind of hard hit on a QB will be called just about everytime. That was the biggest call of the game.

Just fyi but the OPI occurred on the opposite side of the field from where the ball was thrown. The announcers & the ref called out the wrong number.
