He left your azz for a reason.. he made a good decision
Hey will be kicking off in a few minutes while you're team is sitting on the couch watching.... Enjoy

1/3 of all SEC championship trophies..

Are housed at the University of Alabama... Time to bring number 31 home... We are all Alabama today
Can't think of one.. dude would make one hell of a used car salesman

2008 Raiders
2013 USC
2016 Alabama

New menu option... Half baked tenders to go and a pint of Freshwater
Kelly probably a little bit better x's and o coach... Kiffin with a little more swag... I'll guess we'll see how far it can take him
Deboer did not abandon his team in the middle of a playoff run... Sleazy as hell
No melt just an observation... Deboer did the same thing
Old School coaches talked about character and integrity... Seems those qualities are in short supply these days among modern coaches.. everyone seems sold out to the power of the dollar... TV money corrupted college sports, NIL was the final nail in the coffin.
Maybe not anymore but Bear had a few six and five seasons ... Then stacked up three more national championships
The last two to win a national championship were fired... Most recent coach is banned from returning to the stadium apparently... While trying to litigate his buyout in the morass of Napoleonic law that is the basis for the Louisiana legal system... show me the money
And at the same time trying to beat the last coach out of his buyout.. you can't make this stuff up

Somewhat objective view....

If you were a top coach, where would you rather be:

School A: nouveau rich, commitment to winning national championships, they always seem to find NIL money, willing to pay top dollar for coach and staff, insanely high expectations and pressure. Expect and demand performance

School B: expectations are not as high, uncertain commitment to NIL, proven championship potential with the right mix, willing to pay top dollar for head coach and staff. Demands performance but on a more reasonable time line

School C: expectations are lower, pressure is minimal, good NIL commitment, consistent winning probably enough to keep your job, ceiling may be not as high as other two schools, but very patient administration

50-year-old coach looking for a retirement... Who are you going with?

We can forgive you for not knowing how to act... since you have never found yourself in this position before in your life time....furk
You have to think that if he were truly going ...it would have been kept much quieter.... As it is, it looks like a publicity stunt

re: Lane Kiffin leverage?

True enough ...but right now you have three SEC schools with essentially open checkbooks... A coaches dream... Good for Lane not good for college football

Looks like his impending contract may totally reset the market... If he's paid 16 million a year... Kirby, Deboer, Ryan Day, among others, are going to want to be paid commensurately

Lane Kiffin leverage?

Posted by mattloc on 11/20/25 at 12:33 pm
Does Lane have enough leverage, with the ongoing bidding war, to insist on an upfront payment, whether it be in the form of a signing bonus, or a fully guaranteed contract payable before services are rendered? ... Would one of these schools offer him $50 million up front for three or four years? That would be hard to turn down.
