According to Zach Barnet of Football Scoop, Texas A&M was reportedly targeting LSU offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock to run the Aggies offense under new head coach Mike Elko.

The report also says that Texas A&M's "offer to Denbrock would have made him the highest-paid offensive coordinator in college football."

Denbrock, a finalist for the Broyles Award, is receiving a new three-year contract extension to remain at LSU after leading the top offense in college football this past season.

Denbrook let them know he isn't gay. So A&M moved on

Just makes me hate the Aggies more. If that was even possible.

Mike Denbrock isn’t 18 years old. You can play that game with the youngsters who don’t know any better but not with ones who have wisdom. A&M isn’t LSU! At some point these kids will get it.

You can bet your bottom dollar that Brian Kelly has offered Mike Denbrock a big contract extension after the season completed, knowing that he would be pursued by other teams trying to poach Mike Denbrock from us. He will be probably the highest paid OC now.

When teams go after good coaches, you know your program is going in the right direction.

Well he did just help produce the Heisman winner, one of the greatest offenses in our history and should win the Broyles award so he’s kinda earned it no matter what other teams did. I doubt BK bases his decisions off of what other teams might do.
