After the segment was aired, game commentators Brock Huard and Bob Wischusen added their impressions as well. Even sideline reporter Allison Williams did a live impression of Orgeron during the game as Coach O stood a just a few steps away.

During Wednesday's episode of the "Ed Orgeron Radio Show," coach was asked about the segment and said he's "proud to be Cajun. All I'm going to say."

Well said, Coach.

I thought it was funny, and the sideline reporter absolutely mastered it. Then her reaction to him being right behind her was great. Stop being so sensitive.

I'm not offended but it begs the question: would people be as tolerant and find if funny when they imitate a typical, hard to understand, English-butchering black coach?

Cookie monster does the best coach O impression.

Geauxboy, you are axing a very good question.

I was so drunk when I saw this I wasn't even sure what I just saw. Glad to hear ESPN is taking this seriously. I heard the higher ups in Japan were like wtf when they heard about Pearl Harbor

The players did it first so why can't others do it. Bunch of snowflakes.

Imagine if they did that to an African American female who had an "accent"....still would be cool, right?

I believe that the snowflakes heading ESPN would be appalled by this, but I have a hard time believing that LSU/Coach O would really care.

How pussified is this. If you are impersonated. Like this. What's the negative? Makes him stand out and unique. Glad he doesn't have a weak arse voice. Sounds like a drill Sgt out there.

It's pretty pussified in a vacuum, but anything that makes the world wide leader look bad is fine in my opinion. I thought orgeron's response was fine.

I'm sure heads would roll if they had made fun of an african-american coach.

Y'all so racist. Eaux is white and the impressions were done by white people. Why mention black coaches?

Coach "Eaux" is of cajun ethnicity. Is making fun of one's ethnicity fair game now?

This world is nuts. You can't have any fun anymore. I thought it was great, and I think all of us Louisianians love Coach O and his unique voice. Don't hurt anyone's feeling though. Please!!

So....ESPN is appalled about their own pre-recorded bit poking fun at O? Am I missing something? I can't take ESPN seriously for shite.

I'm embarrassed if anybody from LSU or Orgeron claims to be offended by this.

Nobody gives a shite if you are embarrassed. Being made fun of on national TV is not OK. ESPN brass should have nipped it in the bud the first time it was broadcast all over the internet and not waited until after it was included in the game broadcast to react with fake amazement.

I didn't have much of a problem with it, other than Huard's cross eyes he threw in. That was a little too far.

Coonasses aren't hypersensitive like certain other groups. Thats why this isnt a big deal.

So I guess ESPN didn't know anything about the segment ??

They're pretty clearly making fun of Ed O. He is pretty clearly a little miffed by the impressions given his response. ESPN is covering its arse. LSU doesn't want its head coach to be a punchline. Not sure how any of that leads to anyone being a hypersensitive snowflake.

So I am curious.. is this a new thing for ESPN, where they select a coach each week and find some aspect of them to make fun of... ?? Can't wait to see what they do with Saban, Urban Meyer, ect...

Brock Huard is a weird looking dude anyway, but when he started his impression of O he looked really odd and frightening. They mostly embarasses themselves in the end.

The segment with the coaches was on espn.com days before the game. I don't know why anyone waited to be upset until now

Yep, I even posted it on The Rant early in the week before the game.

I mean the impressions were pretty bad, but Dabo gets made fun of on a pretty regular basis and doesn't seem to be miffed about it. To be fair, Brock Huard's entire career was a joke, so it's allowable for him to make fun of others.
