Best defensive line, blah blah blah. Returning nearly all their started, blah blah blah. They lost 4 games, 2 of those at home and lost to every SEC team (3) they played last year. They added 1 player from the portal and lost their RB1 and replaced him with a WR. We are a completely revamped team.

He is exactly right, but LSU will move the pocket if they have to and Nuss throws well on the run. Also, he will have to run several times to slow the rush down and keep that in their minds. He has to hurt them with his legs. Clemson will be facing the best DL they will be up against all year to. I look for our defense to be very good. Could end up a defensive game and comes down to a FG late and I like our veteran ST's in this scenario.

He is correct but SMU and Louisville worked this same defense! I’m more concerned about the LSU run game and defense.

Nuss needs to either take off running or just eat the sack. I think we'd all take 3 or 4 sacks over 2 interceptions

I feel like he will have to play like Burrow did against Texas. Survive the initial pass rush and either tuck it to run or hopefully hit some of our speedy receivers for huge gains.

Why does LSU just so happen to always schedule teams at their very peak in out of conference? Florida St hasn't been releveant except 2 years in the last decade. 2022 and 2023 alone. And we just so happen to schedule them and their undefeated year in 2023. UCLA finished ranked in 2021 and they never do that anymore. Now we schedule Clemson in *supposedly* their best team since they were in the 4 team CFP semi-final? And we do it on an away game first and potentially waste our supposed best roster since 2019? This Clemson series better be the last Top 20 team we play for a while in OOC.

It all rides on the offensive line for pass protection and a running game. Without good offensive line, it’s going to be really tough to score.

Clemson's Defensive Line finished 83rd in FBS in rushing yards allowed per game. The best defensive line doesn't finish 83rd in rushing yards allowed per game. Therefore they are not the best defensive line in FBS.

Agree, their secondary is their one weakness too but can we take advantage of it
