LSU wide receiver Jack Bech announced Tuesday that he is entering his name into the transfer portal.

Bech caught 43 passes for 489 yards and three touchdowns as a true freshman last season but dealt with injuries and less playing time this year. He finished this season with 16 receptions for 200 yards and one touchdown.

Classic example of addition by subtraction.

This kid is money. He is likable, hardworking, LSU legacy and and a team player. I hope his reason for leaving is not a sign of a deeper issue. He is a fan favorite. You hate to see him go.

Good receivers are only needed by QB’s who throw the ball more than 10 yards down the field. As long as we start this clown we played all season, then WR’s really don’t matter

You mean the clown that just won LSU the West crown? You are an insufferable moron.

Red shirt, take the year off, and wait for a throwing qb. Everything will work itself out.

Asking an athlete to take a healthy year off (NIL is going to pay well for that?) for only the chance of having a pass heavy offense in 2024? Sure.

If he had not been put on the punt receiving team, he would not have to leave. Ashame!

Was a great talent but clearly didn’t fit in with Kelly and his scheme. That drop in the SEC championship and the fumbles on punts will put you in the doghouse when your only job is to hold onto the ball.

Was it the special teams? It seemed like he lost his mojo after a few dropped punts. Confidence is learned. Sorry to see this

Hate to see him go, but can’t really blame him…anyone playing wide receiver has got to have more than 16 receptions. That few receptions from a wide receiver is a disservice to both him and the team as well.

Good luck to him in the future…I hope he goes to a team where he can light it it up.
