Even more proof of how much work Coach O left for Kelly and new staff.

Didn't LSU go on to win the SEC championship that year and play in a major bowl game? Just a little food for thought

No. They went on to play Georgia Tech in the Chick Fil A Peach Bowl

We don't even have a participation trophy like in Bama's cafeteria to motivate them. Guess we will use this!!!!

People here are going to get upset about this when it actually means nothing at all.

This just shows how sloppy polls can be, we shouldn’t have been ranked in last year’s preseason poll but we were based on prestige of the program. Kind of like how a 8-5 Texas team gets ranked every year. This year we finally used up all of those prestige credits we have in the bank and are not ranked. However, the funny thing is that if the pollsters scratch the surface of our program they would see we are light years ahead of where we were the last two years and we will make some moves this year.

I’d take that bet all day. At least we aren’t ranked 13th for what seems to be every year for 15 straight.

Preseason polls are based on last year’s results. Based on that, we should not be ranked.

Sorry, doesn't hold water. USC was 4-8 last year and are 15 pre-season......

I’m not saying LSU should be in the top 15-20, but I can damn sure see some teams on that list that have no business being ahead of LSU.

I’m not an LSU fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I don’t think there’s any doubt that this LSU team is comfortably in the top 15 today, likely higher when it’s all said and done this year.

It's August, and many of these teams will have 2 losses in September. So I'll wait.

Good...less of a target on our back, and we will play with a chip on our shoulder

We're stacked but unproven

We've had back to back abysmal years and are breaking in a new staff and new team

Amazing how Aranda with much less talent blows it out in Year 2 and is still predicted to be in the Top in Year 3.
Let's hope our great coaching staff can do the same at LSU.
