Cool story, I sat next to Flutie on flight from Miami to NOLA for the 2019 natty. We talked the entire flight. He showed me the photos of the Batmobile he was working on. Glad he got it done haha.
Flutie’s band plays annually at a spot where the Natty game is every year. That’s why he was going. We ended up waiting for our Ubers together. Cool dude.
Also, Flutie is not a big fan of Johnny Manziel being in the Heisman family. He had some stories.

Rode in elevator with him at Marriott in 2019 before either the playoff game or SECCG. I did a fake fart noise, just us two in there, no reaction. Did not pass the vibe test.

I don’t get how Rece Davis is host of that show. He’s so dull, dorky and biased. The show losing Chris Fowler was a bigger hit than Corso getting old. Fowler was / is a much better pro than Rece ever could imagine.

Flew in for first time in 2 years. I’m an LSU alum and life long die hard. I left after first quarter and went back to friend’s tailgate and I don’t even drink. Stadium just isn’t the same or Maybe I’m just getting old and losing interest.
I do not expect lsu to win this Saturday. This offense is so bad. If tigers pull it out, it’ll be like the Florida game.
I like Pate but his show has turned into a constant Pate propaganda segment. I know this. I go to the best game every week. I have new merch. I’m loyal to my sponsor QuikTrip. I’m the future commissioner of CFB. I was at practice this summer. I have connections into that program. Several coaches texted me after their game. We get it man. You’re doing great, but let’s talk ball…

Haven’t thought about this possibility before, but I don’t hate it. He definitely is a good coach and cares a lot, which would be a nice upgrade. He may have already hit his ceiling at Tennessee, as weird as that is to think… but they now haven’t been a real threat for 20+ years.
Mansoor played at VT. Good chance Beamer’s daddy / family know him personally.

JJ has earned at least 5-8 touches a game. Jackson is not it and no need to rely on Barry yet when you’ve got a ton of other weapons.

As an adult, I’m able to put the p&g glasses down and enjoy some good games with great coached teams who are all bought in. I don’t even compare them to LSU or play what ifs anymore.

It was enjoyable. Kind of sloppy but entertaining.
I think the team being locked in for even the Rodeo Bowl and the game is a testament to good coaching. With the dominant W against OU and the bowl win, it makes me feel more confident that we have the right pieces in place.
Our issue has been talent. We haven’t had top 5 talent for a few years and I think we are getting there.
One thing that still surprises me is how poor Kaleb Jackson was this year. However, Durham is a great back. Hopefully the two freshmen live up to the hype, if so, we won’t have to throw the ball 65% of the time again next year.

He said “Please send all NIL communication to Ponamsky ” when it went live. Don’t think he realized how big of a deal it was going to be. I don’t think he would have handled it well.
After losing underwood, LSU needs to spend their money on DL, OL and DB. We stack up there, LSU will be a force. We are lacking at these spots, need to be 2 deep on DL soon. UGA has been very dominant last 5 years due to the trenches.
