LSU announced Thursday that Central Michigan has been added to the 2021 schedule. The Tigers will take on The Chippewas on Sept. 25. Per LSUSports.net:

It will be the first meeting between LSU and Central Michigan on the gridiron. Other non-conference games set for 2021 include LSU traveling to face UCLA in the season-opener on September 4 and the Tigers hosting McNeese State on September 11.

Central Michigan, a member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) is currently 2-0 this year with wins over Rhode Island and Kansas. The Chippewas have played in a bowl game for three straight years.
LSU will pay Central Michigan $1.45 million for the game, according to The Advocate:

If idiot LSU fans had a tiny inkling of reading comprehension they would have noticed in the first paragraph quoted above that LSU travels to play UCLA in the first game of the 2021 season. But yeah, let's also play Florida State, Oklahoma and Ohio State that year also. Idiots

Can't play Bama every week. We'd never finish the season with a healthy team. We play more ranked teams every year than most any other team in the nation, being in the SEC West. Plus, Florida every year. I do agree, however, that we should pay State schools for these tune up games and give them a chance to play in Tiger Stadium. Good all around!

The 2017 Central Michigan squad is pretty good. Produce tough NFL personal does CMU

I like it. Gives our team a chance to work out the kinks, then rest our starters once we get way ahead, all while giving the reserves some playing experience.

I don't understand why u guys are mad that we're playing lesser opponents.. We play a crazy conference schedule take easy wins when available. Every other conference play bull shite and get into tha playoffs. Take tha easy road

I don't want to play teams like that. Gives them a "cause game" at our expense.
