The SEC Network posed a question on Twitter Wednesday as to who would win in a matchup between LSU's 2019 offense vs. Georgia's 2021 defense.

Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin and chimed in with the obvious answer... LSU.

Didn’t we play GA and their top tier defense that year also and put up half a hundred on them. That was talk going into that game could GA’s mighty defense shutdown LSU?

Burrow and company would have torched any defense in college football over the past 20 years.

they had some team saying of "no one gets into our endzone. no one" until Burrow visited said endzone 4 times, with ease.

The Georgia players have a lot more to prove in the league before this question even matters

We destroyed that overhyped team on our way to destroying Goldilocks and Dabo in the championship. We’d have done it again with any other overhyped defense.

Might be hard for the Georgia defense to score

I was rewatching highlights of the 19 Bama game and that Bama team was legit, people downplay how good that team was and LSU handled them

Agreed. I’ll reply to you since “CaliTigerHB” doesn’t have a reply option. Auburn played 7 defensive backs to slow down LSU & barely had a chance. Other teams since the 2019 Auburn game tried the same thing (to slow down Joe B.) & he tore them apart. No team IN HISTORY would beat the best team in CFB history….2019 LSU.

Hate to say the gumps were but they and Texas were the toughest games that year. Auburn wasn't far behind.

The team that did not lose will beat the team that did lose.

Mind you that Orgeron was coaching them and they were unstoppable...

Auburn stopped LSU twice inside the 5 yard on 4th and goal. They had the best defensive line in college football that season and when the field shrunk in the redzone they were able to make two big stops. LSU dominated the game for the most part but it could've been a blowout.

Nobody was beating that LSU team that year. No defense had a clue how to defend that offense and had to come up with some next level mental gynmastics on unique defenses to even slow them down. Worked for Auburn most game. Worked for Clemson for about 1 quarter before we figured out it was same thing Auburn was running and that was that.

What was auburn doing that game that was slowing down LSU?

I recall the wet weather making LSU more conservative on offense against Auburn. Auburn couldn’t score and LSU a was holding onto its lead.

Lmao...that GA team struggled with an average Bama team. LSU would destroy them.
