The Jacksonville Jaguars informed running back Leonard Fournette that they have voided the remaining guarantees in his four-year rookie contract due to his suspension late last month. Per ESPN:
quote:

The fourth overall pick in the 2017 draft was suspended without pay for the team's Dec. 2 game against Indianapolis after leaving the bench and getting into a fight with Buffalo defensive end Shaq Lawson on Nov. 25. Fournette lost nearly $100,000 in salary during the suspension. It could cost him $7.1 million more if the Jaguars decided to cut him with no guaranteed money remaining.

Fournette's standing with the Jaguars reached a new level of unrest Sunday in the season finale at Houston after he and fellow running back T.J. Yeldon spent most of the game on the bench, appearing disinterested in anything that was happening.

Fournette played in eight games this season and had 439 rushing yards and five touchdowns. He had 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns during his rookie campaign in 2017.

LF needs to get on the Colts. Do that, rehab that high ankle and they’ll be a great team.

I love my state but the one thing that is sorely lacking in our Kids all over is the discipline required to have in all profession. Discipline is what is required to be successful in this world.

Agreed. I used to be a big LF fan, but he, OBJ & Eric Reid have become nothing but an embarrassment to LSU & Louisiana. Who's raising these fools?

He’s not a bust, had a great rookie year and will bounce back next year. Who cares about his suspension. Like no one here has lost their temper and swung on someone.

Oh that's right. You cannot site any examples...because there are none. Just because a black man gets ridiculed doesn't make it racist. You are brainwashed by the libtard media.

Racism would be the immediate desire to condemn him, because he is black. Gronkowski has dine way worse, purposely tried to injure a guy in the game after a play. Media loves him always and forever - because he is white. See the racism now?

I hope they cut him. He can move on to an organization that cares about winning. I think a competent QB and a good OL would bring him back. Their stunt with Bortles proves they have no use for excellence. The only thing Bortles ever had going for him was that hot GF, and he messed that up.

He not happy in Jacksonville. Come on home Fournette! Ingram might bounce for greener pastures especially if we win the Superbowl. Team up with Kamara and light it up!

The Saints won't put up with his nonsense either. LF needs to grow up.

Nobody thought Dez would ever suit up for the Saints either! If he wasn't injured, he would be our number 2 receiver right now! At the end of the day, if the numbers work, it's very possible he could be in black and gold! Everyone knows how much he loves his city! Coming home could be just the motivation he needs to become LF7 once again!

WOW!!!!!! It's so amazing to me how fast y'all turned on Leonard Fournette have you forgotten he was the highest rated prospect LSU ever signed and once he got to campus he didn't disappoint. And if I can remember it was Coach O saying it was a coach's decision to keep Fournette out of the bowl game because of his ankle so LF did not quit on LSU. And as far as the Jacksonville Jaguars are concerned didn't that socalled #1 defense from last year totally quit this year and Tom Coughlin and the front office quit when they reupped QB Blake Bortles? So all y'all are pissed at Fournette because basically he's following the direction of the whole damn team from the top to the bottom it's a damn dumpster fire. They went from the AFC Championship Game with a chance to win it to 5-11, they went from the #1 historically great defense to pure unadulterated garbage. So before you down Fournette just look at the situation he's in and remember this is the young man who asked the uptight NCAA for permission to auction off his jersey and cleats from the South Carolina game for the people affected by the tragedy in South Carolina and I think he raised over $100,000. And this is the same kid who found out his old tutor was having problems with her tuition I think and without hesitation paid her tuition. REMEMBER people when he was at LSU he represented the Tigers proudly. Fournette didn't go from being one of the most respected, intelligent, mature, hardest working and dominate players not only in LSU's history but in college football's history to a dummy in the NFL there's more to the story than Coughlin's saying so please don't judge to you get all the facts. Because I for one is not giving up on one of the greatest RB's and people in our history he never robbed, raped, killed or hurt anybody he's just having a disagreement with his front office on how things are being run just like so many other players in the League it don't change the fact that Fournette is a really good dude, Louisiana born Louisiana raised be proud.

LF disrespected the Flag, his LSU teammates, now he is disrespecting his teammates and his employer to the point that it is costing him millions of dollars. Yet, some of you polish his damn knob. LF is responsible for his own problems.
