The unusual saga involving Dae’Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris took another major turn Wednesday.

The NFL sent a memo to teams clarifying that Wright and Harris are ineligible to visit, try out for or sign with any NFL club during the 2026 season.

The decision comes after both players attempted to return to college football at LSU following brief NFL stints this offseason. Neither player was ultimately added to LSU’s 105-man roster, leaving them without a college or NFL team for the 2026 season.

A large part of that blame should be with LSU. To lure them back to college and then not have them on the roster after all the storm they caused is low. The SEC/NCAA was never going to do anything about it.

That is a stupid take. You have zero knowledge about whether LSU did anything

They would be/should be on LSU's football roster right now if it wasn't for shite eating jackass Greg Sankey. Why does LSU have to follow said rules but no other program in the conference or the country has too.

Wright and Harris' party is going to sue the ever living frick out of Sankey and the SEC. And they should. Not their fault the SEC, nor the NCAA, have no idea what they're doing. They deserve every penny they're eventually going to sue for.

Again frick Sankey and the SEC.

Why you blaming Sankey? A Baton Rouge judge said they could play and everything I’ve read here that supercedes the SEC ruling. Lane and LSU put the screws to these lads. Told them to come back, then told them they weren’t going to rostered and that whole time the NFL said if you go back to college you can’t come back here. Nope, they weren’t sold a bill of goods by the most self centered coach that’s ever walked.

It is quite hilarious that the NCAA and conferences are acting like anll the players aren’t professional athletes. They just released that the top universities are spending $50 million on their football rosters.

So they can't go to college because they were in the NFL and they can't go to the NFL because they were in college?? so because of everyone else screwing them over, they get screwed over more? Gfy

It’s really sad bc a football player has a much shorter window to earn a living in their profession that most others do. Especially a player in their 20s to have valuable learning and playing time, Sankey wasted a crucial year of these players careers.

Where in the Fk the NCAA, they are the ones responsible for screwing up this whole damn saga. Hate it for the players.

I don’t know why they are listed with LSU on their college. They never were rostered are played for LSU.
user avatar
They will use that to further hammer Sankey/Sec when they go back to court.

The “adults” in the room should be ashamed how they screwed these kids. If you don’t want them in college then at least let them go pro. How they can decide that they can’t play pro OR go back to college is bullshite.

It’s a shame that adults can’t come together to do the right thing for these kids. They are completely innocent. It’s just sad.

It’s a shame that a sleazy coach has caused this chaos. Granted eligibility by a judge, told the kids to enroll then didn’t roster them. Wow.
