College Football analyst Desmond Howard was on ESPN's 'Get Up' Friday morning and discussed the rematch between LSU and Florida State on Sunday night in Orlando.

Howard said that quarterback Jayden Daniels is "going to be a key factor" vs the Seminoles and think the matchup could be a potential shootout. Per On3:
quote:

“I think he played well (last year), well enough to win. But I think that he’s going to have to play even better for LSU’s Bayou Bengals to be able to beat Florida State,” said Howard.

“This guy is a dual-threat quarterback. Everything coming out of Baton Rouge says that he has taken a step up as far as leadership, his accuracy,” Howard continued. “He’s a very mobile quarterback. But I think he’s much more confident and comfortable in the offense.”

“He’s going to be a key factor,” Howard stated. “Going up against the Seminoles with Jordan Travis, Johnny Wilson? This has the potential to be a shootout, a high-scoring ball game. Jayden Daniels is going to have to bring his A-game.”

Who cares! This guy is worried about Michigan! People on this site know 10 times about what’s going on here than he does.

They’re all wrong. The st important player for LSU is Harold Perkins. He might be the best athlete and player on the field. If he lives up to expectations LSU will win by 3 TDs.

We should have won last year if it wasn't for one of the worst special teams coaches and special teams play.

Daniel’s played like dogshit until the 4th quarter. I think he makes up for it and goes off this week.

I just don't understand why the media is loving FSU all of a sudden. They had a similar record to us last year in a shite conference and are getting so much praise. I guess bama bet themselves last year and so did all of the other teams we beat.

Yeah, they had a season similar to ours except they beat us. It's not not complicated.

Some dumbass is gonna come along with the "had a similar season to ours" excuse.

It's not all of a sudden. FSU went on to have a pretty good year last year and they are returning a hell of a lot of players. More than LSU.

I'm not saying FSU will win. I'm just answering your question.

I can't see this game really being a shootout.

I dunno. I think JD has that in his arsenal. And God knows hehas the weapons. If a game requires him to throw it 40 times I can see him stepping up and torching opposing secondaries.

The FSU love fest from the media is really remarkable.

Well, everyone got their BK & LSU love fest t-shirts last year and since, so they're trying to level it out so they'll get more viewers...fck LSU, tired of hearing about em, etc., etc.

Such insight, a qb being key to victory is something I didn't consider.

Their QB needs to be running for his life all game long.

As long as he isn't running down the field for his life!

If the injury bug stays off the field, this will very likely be the case. Even without Smith, the front seven is set up to be a MIGHTY force this year. And you know those are some very very hungry tigers. Especially for this particular opponent.

I personally believe the Offensive Line for either team will be the key factor in this game. And I absolutely give LSU the advantage in that category.
