The last two seasons were poor. I am happy LSU is 5-2 and if they end up at least 7-5, it is a successful first season for this future HoF coach. You judge great coaches on how their teams do in the 2nd or 3rd season. Saban went 8-4 at LSU and 7-6 at Bama in his first seasons both of which included some horrible losses.

Ok gonna share this info on this thread and it will be done for season. Folks I think we. Dealing with Karma and it’s my fault. During the 2019 2020,Natty I went outside a few times and begged God to let us win and I wouldn’t bitch about Tigers for 5 years
Might be payback. If it’s not too stressful go to UTube and watch 2019 season highlights.

Some of you people take this way too seriously and have the craziest outlook. I also find it absolutely hilarious that some of the exact same people who bitched and moaned about this same thing in the recent past under different leadership but now it’s a good thing because we have a different coach. It’s always been a good thing, under any HC. That nonsense about a certain coach not doing his job simply because the players take responsibility and feel the need to communicate with each other on a very personal level in a confined setting is and has always been one of the most ignorant takes on here.

Then stop going for it on fourth down, kick the fricking field goal or punt the freaking ball, and on 2nd 4 run the call twice and get the god damn 1st down

Being better starts in practice coach.

Are they really being efficient and calculated in practice yet it doesn't translate to Saturdays?

Understand it's a rebuild but I don't understand how we are so sloppy and undisciplined at this point in the season.

We should be to go....ok, we need time and more players that fit what Kelly wants but at least my eyes tell me we are headed in a positive direction. I'm not seeing it currently.

Oh shut the frick up with this. Why weren't you hired to be HC when you're obviously more qualified than Kelly is if you're going to tell him how to do his job.

Kind of neutral about it all, but i am curious sometimes what players think they’ll accomplish by excluding coaches

I don't think it's about leaving coaches out. But I understand why you ask.

I guess it creates a bond and trust with your teammates. They’re the ones on the field of battle. I think it shows ownership and self motivation.

Some players probably feel uncomfortable speaking out if coaches are present. Which is natural in any setting where an “employee” is in a room with a “boss” figure.

Oh boy. Players only meeting. You never see this on a team that is headed in the right direction.

Jesus dude. We have the most dramatic fricking fan base.
So you have student leaders taking responsibility and showing gumption….in the middle of a huge rebuild hat every level headed person knew was coming…..and somehow this is a bad thing? We call manager meetings all the time without ownership and general management. We’re booming as a company.

It’s called leadership

You do realize coaches are NCAA limited to how much time they can spend with players a week, right?

They are taking initiative and trying to improve and you see that as a bad thing?

Your comment exemplifies the worst in our fanbase.

MSU had a players only meeting after we lost to LSU where they agreed they made too many mistakes and didn’t play hard for 4 quarters. They vowed to clean it up and give 100% effort. We have won 3 straight including throttling A&M and Arkansas. So yea, it’s not a bad thing
