Four-star safety Dakota Mitchell from Winter Park, Florida, announced Thursday that he has committed to Ed Orgeron and the LSU Tigers.

Mitchell, a 5-11, 170-pound prospect from Winter Park High School, holds offers from Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Texas A&M, and many others.

His pledge gives LSU five verbal commitments for the class of 2021.

One thing I really don't pay any attention to is those damn ranking services. Remember WR Justin Jefferson was a 2* prospect out of HS and look how that turned out 111 receptions, 18 TD's later.
