Four-star wide receiver Joseph Stone announced that he has de-committed from LSU.

The 6’0, 180-pound receiver from Fairburn, Ga., had been committed to the Tigers since July of 2022 but has reopened his recruitment and holds more than 50 offers.

His departure leaves LSU with 24 verbal commitments for the class of 2024.

Remember when we "lost" Rakim Jarrett(sp) and Burton? I think it worked out just fine for us at that position. There's always at least 2 unknown future NFL'ers in Louisiana every year.

He’s either processed or scared of who we have coming. Why else would you leave the best passing attack in CFB?

Nope. We have TONS of WR’s and Athletes who can play wide out so I truly think this is a processed move.

I wonder what he sees when watching LSU’s offense and the WRs that makes him think he’s better off elsewhere

Louisiana as a state has more than enough receiving talent most years to make up for this.

WR is the one position we should never have to leave this state to be loaded at WR. We shouldn’t have to further than 50 miles from Baton Rouge for that matter.

If I were a recruiter, I would just take every bag when offered. There’s no repercussions

Commits and Decommits both make news for these kids. Smart play.

Y'all are assuming he just saw something better elsewhere. Go read the On3 scouting report. He's not elite, and he saw the writing on the wall that he wasn't going to play, and likely was TOLD he should decommit and keep looking.

Ah yes. Every recruit that decommits "likely" was just unwanted by the team. That's really convenient, don't you think? To never have someone voluntarily choose someone else over you. Almost sounds like...sour grapes?
