Elite 2019 five-star LSU offensive guard commit Kardell Thomas announced Monday night that he's "110-percent a Tiger" and is shutting down his recruitment.

The news comes just one day after Thomas wrapped up his visit to LSU for the Elite Junior Day event over the weekend.

The 6-4, 320-pound prospect from Southern Lab in Baton Rouge has been committed to LSU since July of 2016.

Thomas is rated the No. 1 offensive guard in the country and the No. 2 overall player from the state of Louisiana for the class of 2019, according to 247Sports.

Honestly this was expected 5* OG Kardell Thomas was always 110% committed to LSU. It's a beautiful thing that he shut down his recruiting but he was playing his college ball in Death Valley. Now can he try his damndest to get 5* OT Kenyon Green back in the fold and OLC James Cregg have to prove his worth he should be on the phone and visiting with Green trying to develop a relationship like ex OLC Jeff Grimes had. With Kardell Thomas being anointed the leader of the 2019 class he has to put on his recruiting cap and help make this 2019 class one of the best if not the best in LSU history. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!PURPLEREIGN????????

Nice pickup tigers. This is the kind of kid you build a program around. I love it when Auburn gets these type of kids early. Congrats!
