A four-year investigation into the LSU men's basketball program could be coming to an end as the school has received a Notice of Allegations (NOA), according to Sports Illustrated.

Details of the NOA have yet to be revealed and LSU will now have several weeks to file a response.
quote:

LSU officials did not acknowledge receipt of the NOA when contacted by SI on Tuesday. The NOA originated from the Complex Case Unit of the Independent Accountability Review Process—the so-called “off ramp” for more complicated and contentious NCAA investigations. If head coach Will Wade is charged with a major violation, he could be terminated with cause, according to a contract amendment he agreed to in April 2019. Wade’s attorney, Steve Thompson, did not immediately respond to a call from Sports Illustrated.

It is unclear whether LSU would exercise that option without waiting for the full resolution of the case, which will take months. The Tigers (21-10), who are set to play in their third consecutive NCAA Tournament next week, open play in the Southeastern Conference tournament Thursday.
And on-and-on we go...

Y’all need to delete this and until LSU acknowledges it. Pat Forde is a clown.

It seems odd to focus on Pat Forde. A notice of violations is obviously a news story and has been widely reported.

Keep Wade no matter what. Kids can get paid now, it’s clear he kills it in recruiting. Weather the storm.

Truth is, if the program gets sparked, we won’t see a decent coach through the punishment so what does firing him really do if we will suck for years.

totally coincidental on the timing, per usual.

Odd timing. I’m sure it was just a coincidence. Screw the NCAA. Take the Auburn approach and tell the to pound sand.

I'm not impressed by an investigation that takes four years and still is not at the adjudicative stage.

He needs to do what Dale did. Let it be known that if he goes down, he is taking everyone with him. What other coaches were offering Smart? How much were the offers? I'm sure he knows why this player is at that school, and what they must have offered to beat our offer, etc. He should threaten to write a "tell all"...

It's the exact same copy and paste article from Pat Forde. Only "new information" is an unknown source told him LSU received the NOA. SHOW ME YOUR WORK PAT!!!

Some folks talk about the NCAA like it's a government entity or otherwise outside organization. It's a member-run institution and one of those members is LSU.

The NCAA set up an office in Baton Rouge for 4 years and couldn't find a smoking gun, no one to corroborate that Smart received anything. They combed through his financial records - nothing, his parents financial records - nothing. It's a shame that SI's Pat Forde keeps copying & pasting the same article for 4 years!?! What has the NCAA done to Louisville, Kansas... nothing? Truth is, they got NOTHING!!
