Take note: when the number 1 reason kids attend a school is because it’s a “business decision,” expect them to treat it like a business when you get there.

I like this kid and he has a point, major one.

no he doesn't - it's competition for QB at the best team in the nation. I'm a fan of Hurts, but this sounds like sour grapes.

How many times has Saban said that there is a QB competition since the end of NC game? A lot. I like Hurts but I think this is more of a "they aren't telling me what I want to hear" than it is a "they aren't telling me anything." Both QBs know this is a competition. What else is there to say really?

Saban’s ego will not take this well. Welcome to the doghouse Jalen.

Since this is a business JH needs to work out, refuse to play trash minutes and keep that RS... Transfer out and keep his body in tact

Jalen Hurts seems like a good dude and I hate this for him, but what was he expecting to be done differently? What was it that the coaching staff failed to do here?

The coaching staff failed to make him the starter

Sounds like the coaching staff failed to communicate where he was in comparison to Tua. That would be frustrating as a player. You always want and deserve to know where you stand.

How they going to tell him where he stands relative to tua over the spring and summer when tua broke his hand and couldn't practice?

Too bad he doesn’t realize that with Saban, more he shoots off his mouth, the less chance he’ll have to play

Nobody asked him how he feels? WTF? Nobody cares how you feel Jalen. It's a business. You lost a competition. Work harder and shut up.

"no one asked me how I felt. No one asked me what was on my mind." Welcome to reality, kid. No one gives a shite about your feelz or opinions.

Dude Tua won the job in the NC. They don't want you to leave in case he goes down with injury. BTW Jalen, almost everyone on the planet deals from self-interest, so you should have put that into the equation back in the spring. You are right about one thing.... it's too late.

I guess he should have learned to throw the ball better, duh! WTF does he think, Saban is gonna sit a better QB? This isn't Daddy Ball, Jalen, I know it Hurts, since you have been THE MAN your whole life. Grow a pair & move on, you are coming across as a titty baby.

Is it too late for him to transfer for this year?
user avatar
Art Vandelay69 months
No but he can sit graduate and have 2 years to play

Correct Art. At this point they won't yank his scholarship anyway. If he pisses the coaches off, all he has to do is ride it out for a season and refuse to play, take a redshirt then transfer as a grad student and play a couple more years.
