Alabama Players Respond To UCF's 2017 Championship Banner & Rings......
© Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports
Over the weekend, UCF celebrated their undefeated 2017 season by unveiling a championship banner and passing out championship rings...even though the Crimson Tide are the real title champs. So, here's how some Alabama players responded...

If there is ONE school that shouldn't be able to bash others for claiming Natty's its Bama.

So how did 7SU finish? Did they get a NC? Just curious.

Just shoe the pictures ofthe White House visit... Regardless of political leanings, that's a game ender in the argument.

UCF Didn't get in because the playoff committee was looking for a reason not to include them instead of looking for a reason to include them. Hopefully in the future they will take undefeated teams more seriously. They beat a very good Auburn team and ended up being the only undefeated team in 2017.

Or they looked at SoS and it was the worst of the 5 teams vying for 4 spots. But whatever, throw logic out the window just because you didn't want Bama in the dance.

UCF didn't get into the playoffs because their SOS was absolute shite. Wow they barely beat one good team who was hardly even trying in some meaningless bowl game. Crown their arse..

17 time National Champs, Bama. /endThread

Actually 10 time National Champs and 7 Mythical ones. But I am sure you will have some highly intelligent comeback as to why the NCAA doesn't recognize Alabama's 1925, 1926, 1930, 1934, 1941, 1964, & 1973 titles or why Wayne Atcheson (SID) admitted to adding the 6 mythical national championships.

Thanks Weeble, I wasn't counting those either. 24 time National Champs, Bama.
user avatar
DoubleDown92 months
... and they're not mythical. Their can be some logical debate about them as numerous polls crowned numerous champs in certain years back then. Don't be so sad about it. If your team was good then and had won one, then good one you. But instead you cry about others success, claimed or unclaimed.

Agree, UCF is the real champion. Bama must be near double-digits in bogus NCs.

The only reason this is noteworthy, and why Bama pays mind, is because UCF beat an Auburn team Bama was beaten soundly by. So the bickering will continue between both. UCF will milk it when they really have no reason. Play a better out of conference schedule and Ill listen. One game doesnt count.

LOL no. There are criteria for determining the champ. We don’t just get to make up things as we go. Those Bama guys might be a little petty but they’re not wrong.

Someone should tell these kids to check the history books on half of Bama’s “National Championships”

What's that got to do with Bama winning the real NC game this past season? You should also look up some of the NCs Bama doesn't claim and should. Regardless, how many do you think we have? Is it more than your school? Then shut. the. F. up.

No UCF doesnt have a claim , their schedule was a joke and after awhile the attention whoring UCF is doing gets a little disrespectful to a team that's proven itself for over a decade now under Saban. Trust me there's nothing more Bama loves than to be disrespected.

Right. No claim. Bama lost to Auburn. UCF beat Auburn. No claim.

The transitive property applies only to math, not football. With your dumbass logic the Cowboys beat the Eagles in the final week of the regular season. Therefore the Cowboys are the REAL NFL Champions, not the Eagles. Actually, your logic is more retarded. Your logic implies that the Cowboys beat the Eagles and the Falcons beat the Cowboys, therefore the Falcons are the REAL NFL Champs. Dumbass.
